One disaster after another

Katt had retreated up to her room, hoping she didn't make a mistake. She wrapped herself up in her blankets and huddles on the bed. Maybe a nap would calm her down a bit.

Meanwhile, the computer at the front desk beeped. Then beeped again, almost inquisitively. It didn't recognize this new person now sitting where the librarian should rightfully be. Where did she go? The connection cannot be lost.

A low rumble shakes the library, like something underneath moving. As soon as it starts, it stops. The computer beeps again, annoyed this time.

She sighs. "As long as he doesn't try to force me to test, it'll be alright."
