26, for the microfiction ask!
Whoo, so I know you asked this ages ago but I couldn’t think of anything to write for it… until tonight. This just popped into my head. Hope you like :)
“How dare you Hiccup Haddock!”
The outrage could be heard across Berk. In thevillage, Viking’s rushed to return home, children ran to their parents, dragonscowered in their stables. No one wanted to be caught in this crossfire.
“Astrid! I’m sorry! I swear by the Gods! I’m sosorry!”
In their private cove, Astrid wrung the water outof her hair. Hiccup stood a safe distance away, doubled over, his hands wrappedaround his waist. He couldn’t look at his girlfriend, he could barely breathe, clutching his sides in a desperate attempt to regain control.
Astrid glowered at him. “If you were sorry, youwouldn’t be laughing!” Her clothes were dripping from her impromptu dip in thewater. She tugged off a soggy boot., flinging it at her crying boyfriend.
“I’m sorry!” Hiccup ducked. “It was just- youshould have seen your face.” He dodged another item of soaked clothing.
Astrid tugged at her skirt, unclipping the bucklesand draping it over a rock in the sun. She turned back to Hiccup, murder in hereyes.
“Yeah, well I hope you enjoyed it, because this isthe last face you’ll ever see.”
Hiccup managed to catch his breath, hestraightened, taking a step towards Astrid. Despite her seemingly angry appearance,he could see the amusement shining in her eyes.
“Then I would die happy Milady,” he told her.
Astrid crooked her finger at him, beckoning himover. Her voice dropped to a sultry whisper. “I am going to make it slow andvery, very painful.”
“Is that a promise?” Despite the wet fabric betweenthem, Hiccup wrapped his arms around Astrid’s waist.
“Definitely babe,” Astrid stood on tiptoes so thatshe could kiss her boyfriend on the lips. She placed her hands over his, guiding them away from her hips, a playful smile lit her features. Then, with aflick of her wrist, Astrid sent Hiccup flying into the water.
