My favorite hobby is making whumpee’s highly experienced rescuers traumatized and horrified.

Consider:

You’ve done this for basically your entire life, a veteran at your job? Too bad, whumpee’s state when you find them will haunt you for the rest of it.

You’ve been trained for things “like this”? Yeah, no, whatever whumpee’s been through is so much worse than that, that your training is useless.

You’ve “seen some things”? Better make room on your list. Because whumpee is at the top.

Sentences and Acts that create Whumperflies

“It hurts, doesn’t it?”

“I love watching you suffer”.

“The terror in your eyes, those tears, so beautiful “.

“This is going to so much fun. For me, not so much for you.”

“You’ll be begging me to stop soon enough”.

“I’m going to make you feel every fucking second of your torture”.

“I’m going to whip you till your blood runs down your back”.

“Deep breath now, this will hurt…. a lot”.

“I’m sure you can hold your breath longer than that”.

“Painful? Rubbish…. Drowning is supposed to be peaceful”.

Slowly pulling a bit gag into Whumpees mouth whilst stood behind them.

The word ‘trembling’.

Every movement of Whumper being slow and deliberate. Whumpee had time to acknowledge what’s about to happen, experience the rush of fear and adrenaline spike. And then watch as Whumper begins.

Bonus points if they’ve been dreading that very thing.

Explaining in explicit detail what is about to happen to Whumpee.

“I haven’t even touched you yet”.

When Whumpee realises it’s all being recorded.

so sick of people being brought back to life and somehow sustaining ZERO brain damage from the lack of oxygen to the brain for a prolonged period of time??? no amnesia?? no stroke-like symptoms?? no loss of motor function??

give us REHAB and AFTER CARE and THERAPY post-resurrection!! like cmon. It’s not even about being realistic, it’s about giving the character a recovery arc which i know for a FACT 100% of the media consuming population on earth wants. come now

"whumpee, I'm so sorry" caretaker cries, pulling at their restraints as whumpee remains slumped across the room.

"it's ok, careta-"

"No, it's not ok, whumpee. I should've been there to protect you, and I'm so sorry that I wa-"

"stop.." whumpee whispers, picking their head up to glance at caretaker with a weak smile. "You're here now, that's all that matters"

The sound of approaching footsteps draws the attention of both prisoners to the direction of the opened cell door.

"Aw, were you two having a moment?" Whumper questions as they step into the light, slowly spinning a knife between their fingers.

"whumper, please." Caretaker begs, standing up and pulling against their restraints until their wrist are red. "Please just hurt me, whumpee can't take any mo-"

"Sh-sh-shh" whumper interrupts, never taking their focus off whumpee as they slowly approach their captive. Holding the tip of the knife, whumper gently places the handle underneath whumpees chin, forcing whumpee to look up at them. "You know, whumpee..." whumper whispers as they tuck whumee's matted hair behind their ear. "You really should listen to caretaker more, it's really not ok..."

Caretaker screams as whumper spins the knife around and slams the blade into whumee's abdomen.

Musings

Favoured Whumpee clinging to Caretaker Whumpee when Whumper comes into the room, desperately digging their fingers into their shoulders and hiding their face in the crook of their neck.

Caretaker Whumpee hushing them and trying to calm their own breathing, prompting favoured Whumpee to follow them.

All the while staring straight into Whumper's eyes as they lean against the door, as the cruel person waits for what they know will come- what they had set up to be so.

And grinning triumphantly when Caretaker Whumpee mouths a plea to them behind Favoured Whumpee's head.

"After they're asleep... take me instead."

A quirked eyebrow, a mock bow and a wink, and the Whumper left the room to prepare.

Caretaker and Whumpee have a long, complicated and kind of hard relationship. Maybe Whumpee betrayed Caretaker in some way, maybe they broke the trust Caretaker had in them, maybe they used to be some sort of Whumper to Caretaker. Either way, Caretaker isn’t sure if they can truly trust Whumpee.

Then, the Whumping happened. Whumpee is broken, traumatised, possibly touched starved (definitely touch straved, this gets so delicious with touch starved whumpee). Just, they are absolutely not in a good spot, and they need a Caretaker. And Caretaker is the only person (for whatever reason) to do the job.

So now, Whumpee is lying there, broken on the floor, looking up at Caretaker, silently or loudly begging them not to leave them too, not to hurt them.

And Caretaker looks down at them, utterly conflicted whether they should help or not…
