the sweet spot between a whumpee being drugged into unconsciousness and being fully aware is so good. like they're aware of what's happening to them but can do nothing to stop what's happening to them because of the drugs. they're not really processing it like a clear-headed person would. they're not putting meaning to sensation, its just sensation and raw fear. drugs take away both their physical and mental defenses.

Whump by exposure to the elements:

Hypothermia and frostbite from being left in the snow, or dropped in a frozen lake. Frozen clothes and stiff limbs as a result. Not feeling injuries due to numbness, or severe burning as the nerves die

ALSO: Hypothermia in the final stages. Confusion and paradoxical undressing, due to feeling hot

Disorientation, vertigo, and confusion from blizzard whiteout conditions

Trapped in avalanche, losing air, crush injuries

Soaking wet from the rain. Macerated skin, clinging heavy clothes, trench foot from prolonged dampness

Exhaustion from having to trudge through thick mud or swampy environments, mosquito, insect, and tick bites, and the diseases that come with

Leeches and parasites from standing, dirty water

Hopelessness and fear from being left in the middle of nowhere and forced to find their way back. Becoming the hunted, not the hunter

Allergic reactions to plants brushed up against or previously mentioned insect bites (or stings)

Heat stroke from being made to exercise in the blistering heat

Burned skin from being left chained in the sun (or in snow if the sun is being reflected off of it (you can go blind from this.))

Nighttime extreme cold in the desert, daytime sweltering. Temperature whiplash, battling both extremes

Abraded face and skin from being blasted by wind+sand (also can happen from snow)

Delirium from dehydration. Cracked, bleeding lips and desperate thirst

Altitude sickness. Pounding headache, dizziness, nausea, weakness

“Please, stop, I’ll tell you anything!” Whumpee pleads.

Whumper laughs. “I’m not doing this to get anything out of you. Keep begging, I like the sound of your pitiful voice.”

Whumpee forced to kneel, hands tied so they can’t protect themselves. And beaten until they confess.

But… they don’t have anything to confess, so it will go on until either Whumpee is forced to falsely confess, or until their captor has had enough…

Will it end?

Caretaker anxiously watching the heart monitor as Whumpee lays unconscious in a hospital bed…

Caretaker who finally manages to get whumpee to trust them, a lengthy, painstaking process.

Then whumper breaks them, and caretaker is back to square one, years of trust building lost in only a few months.

I have an OC named Bella. She's an assassin. Her best friend (and mentor) is Max. She got discharged from the army after nearly drowning, and got talked into working for a private military company doing hit jobs. She gets tortured. I post scenes about her sometimes. The story I'm writing is set in 2040ish, in post-WWIII Russia, in a fictional country named Moscow (yeah, really original of me...). Oh yeah did I mention Bella also killed their president and that's why she's in this mess?
