Mu Yeong is literally handed everything he wants on a platter and rejects it out of a sense that he has to because he thinks Seon has to like someone else, has to be interested in a woman.
CHILD HE LITERALLY SAID HE WAS INTERESTED IN YOU. He grabbed your arm and said he was interested and he loves you and he just wants to be with you and you're out here doing this to yourself auuugh.
But also, why the would you expect him to ask you to stay when he thinks you have a boyfriend and probably left to avoid someone who has a crush on you when you're taken!? Double auuugh.
