I kind of feel like (RPF) the Toffolis probably know there’s something more going on between Will and Mack. Like, Cat especially gives off the kind of energy where she’d pick up on every little thing. It’s hard to imagine her not noticing.
I can totally see her bringing it up at some point, definitely very casually. At first, I feel like Mack would be the one to get a bit defensive and quick to shut it down, brushing it off like “no, we’re just close” or whatever. Will, on the other hand, probably wouldn’t deny it as strongly. I feel like he’d hesitate, maybe glance at Mack in that way he does, just to see what he can say, if anything.
it probs turns into this “we don’t really know what we are” type of answer from them both, and cat is totally supportive and 100% a huge fan of their “relationship”
I feel this all would have gone down pretty recently, definitely after the Olympic break. Maybe it was after the whole wills bday podcast event.
I think maybe she saw something and they tried to cover it with the “oh we were tryna go live on the computer”
I also feel like there would’ve been a conversation about keeping things private, maybe cats the only one they have fully told or she’s the only one who’s asked, but they don’t want to complicate anything with their families or the team.
As for the rest of the team, I don’t think they’re clueless. If anything, it’s probably one of those things where people notice, but no one says anything outright. Like, it just becomes part of the dynamic, acknowledged without being acknowledged. Maybe a few teammates joke around it lightly, but overall there’s this unspoken agreement to leave it alone.
Cat our HR queen took them to a bar. They don't know its a gay bar until they get there. Then Will and Mack look and her and say WHY would you take us here. And she looks at them dead in the eyes and says "you know why. now lets go dance".
