Honey it's too hot for clothing today... but I suppose laws and stuff means I cannot walk around nude unless it's for art. Nevertheless, training for the Ironman 70.3 and Javelina Jundred 100K is going great thus far. I have a total of 14.5 miles of cycling in and loads of stair training. I did a bit of calisthenics in the park but haven't touched my run yet. If I miss it, I'm not too worried. Back to back long run on the schedule for the weekend will keep me honest. I'm excited about talking to my running coach... yes, I have one now! I hears she's a sweetheart but I know she's going to kick my ass and make me a better athlete. If I could describe my day (and week) it’s been exhausting (so much at work has been a priority, including over the weekend, and I’m trying to find balance in the midst of deadlines). Interesting how my physical health issues made me take a break from training (not one that I wanted, for sure), only to fill that gap with major initiatives at work. I don’t share those work details here, but I promise that it’s a lot! Still working on that ultimate balance (I’ve had it before), and will keep trying. Busy morning on the swim course of Ironman Texas @ironmantri North American Championship before heading in to the office, but had the joy of being out on the water for the swim 🏊♂ practice where athletes got to see about 600 meters of the swim course at tomorrow’s race. Wishing all athletes a fantastic race, and thanks to the MANY volunteers today and tomorrow! This sport does not exist without volunteers - please give back when you can. Was so great to see many friends this morning!
