Introductory Post
AMARIS | Any pronouns are okay! | Film Student | 23 (as of Sep 24)
Hello internet! I'm Amaris, currently a second-year film student at SFCC. I mostly do Photography and Videography right now, but I'm studying Cinematography and Writing in school right now as well. Someday I would love to make a living doing what brings me joy, which is creating experiences for people- whether it is youtube videos, movies, tv shows or photos. I also do multiple different art medias as a hobby whenever I can. These include watercolor, ink drawings and digital art as well.
One of the things I love taking photos of the most is nature. I often stop during walks and take photos on my phone of plants or natural phenomenon that catch my eye.
I like to try and find beauty everywhere I look, it's so easy to find things to be upset about but I find it's a lot healthier for my mind to find magic in the mundane. If I see an image that my mind likes, I attempt to snap it up immediately. There's so many things to love and marvel at, even in everyday life in the big city.
Simple interactions or images I stumble across while working on a set or unrelated project can happen as well!
One of my greatest inspirations is the world around me, not just environment but the people. There's always something worth appreciating in life, and I try to capture those little moments.
I'll continue posting here as long as I am able, and I hope to keep sharing interesting or fun moments from my project processes.
