Companions reaction to the inquisitor knitting them hats/scarves/socks/etc for wintersend.
Cassandra: Cassandra is caught off guard by the gift. She is rarely rendered speechless, but the Inquisitor proves time and time again they are capable of doing the impossible. The scarf is of lovely quality. It’s a wonder the Inquisitor found time to even knit it given how busy they all are. She will cherish this gift for years to come.
Varric: Varric has never really gotten into the spirit of wintersend, but when the Inquisitor gifts him a very warm scarf, he decides to give them a sneak peak of the book he is writing about them. The Inquisitor looks impressed with what he’s written, which is no surprise. Varric knows he’s a fantastic writer.
Vivienne: “Why thank you my dear! I have found myself in need of some new socks as of late. Some irritating creature has been skittering around throughout all of Skyhold making holes in people’s garments,” Vivienne laments. She has good reason to believe it is one of Sera’s foolish pranks. When Vivienne gathers more evidence
Dorian: “Now my toeises will most certainly be warm,” Dorian teased after the Inquisitor gifts him with a particular fuzzy and warm pair of socks. His biggest complaint about the south is that it’s always so cold. While these socks may not be the most fashionable of things, they will keep him from complaining about the cold.
Iron Bull: Bull has heard of hats, but this is the first time he’s ever heard of horn warmers. The Inquisitor gives it to him unexpectedly and Bull isn’t sure what to make of it. He thanks them because it’s clear they put a lot of work into it. On one particular cold morning in Skyhold he decides to try them out. They do a good job of keeping his horns warm.
Solas: Solas doesn’t consider himself worthy of the Inquisitor’s friendship or their gift they clearly worked hard on. He accepts it and thanks the Inquisitor for thinking of them during Wintersend this year. It isn’t often Solas wears hats, but he may make an exception for this one in particular.
Sera: Sera scoffs at the gift at first, but she does thank the Inquisitor. It isn’t that she hates it. Actually, Sera loves the scarf. It’s really freaking cute. The problem is Sera isn’t used to people doing these sort of things for her. Her impression of people is that they’re pretty shitty. However, the Inquisitor is proving to be good people.
Cole: Cole’s eyes widen when the Inquisitor hands them a gift. “Thank you!” He says, a feeling of happiness swelling inside him. No one has ever given him such a gift before. Especially not one so colourful and fuzzy.
Blackwall: Blackwall is instantly touched. He isn’t sure a coward like him deserves a gift that Inquisitor spent so much time making, but he would never turn it down. It’s a practical gift too. Gets too damn cold in Skyhold so a scarf is exactly what Blackwall needed.
