Transformation has been on my brain recently so here, have some whumpy prompts involving it!

Whumpee gets into some kind of magical accident and winds up changed. Into what, how and why are up to you — but whatever they are, they’re now being hunted down for their elusive features.

Inhuman whumper being transformed into a normal human

Whumpee slowly turning into a monster, trying to hold on to their humanity

Whumpee undergoing a transformation in order to become stronger/acquire powers/etc. and help the people they care about, but it’s incredibly painful

Wings, horns, extra limbs/eyes/etc. bursting out from underneath the skin

Gory transformation

Caretaker desperately trying to change a transformed whumpee back to normal

Day 4. Post a whump prompt for someone else to fill on Day 28

Caretaker brings a pet whumpee home, and tries to rehabilitate them. That’s their job (or if you want it to be another reason, go ahead). Whumpee is aware, and knows they should, but are terrified of being a normal person again, so sabotage their own treatment (which might be more difficult than just becoming a functioning adult again).

OR/ALSO

A Caretaker who goes to slave/pet auctions or shelters and buys pets just to rehabilitate them. Whumpee is expecting to be used as a punching bag, for entertainment, anything bad. Then they are introduced to the others, perhaps. Are they met with joy, apprehension, a newfound community? And how does Whumpee react?

Whumpee is a doctor. Whumper knows this and leaves Whumpee the supplies they need to stitch themself back up after each torture session.

Whumper offers first whumpee the chance to avoid further pain by helping torture second whumpee. Second whumpee is sure first whumpee would never take a deal like that. They're wrong.

Whumpmas in July day 4: ALL PROMPTS

These are all the prompts submitted for day 4 of WIJ 2024! These are the prompts to be chosen from when completing day 28.

You can click through each link for more details of each prompt, as I'll only include a brief summary of each here. Some links contain multiple prompts to choose from. I've divided them into categories to make it easier for people to find what they're looking for.

Hurt (Single whumpee):

👻 Ghost Whumper possesses Whumpee and uses their body to wreak havoc

💎 Pet Whumpee learns they've been designated as valuable

🐺 Fantasy creature Whumpee is captured by Whumper, a hunter, on the grounds of them being "dangerous"

📸 Whumper takes a picture of whumpee every day/week/month and puts it up on the wall, so Whumpee can see the changes Whumper is putting them through

🪡 Whumpee is a doctor. Whumper knows this and leaves Whumpee the supplies they need to stitch themself back up after each torture session

🤥 Whumper punishing whumpee for a made-up infraction/something that wasn't their fault in the first place

🦇 Vampire therapist starts sessions, one day the therapist decides to hypnotize whumpee

Hurt (Multiple whumpees):

🎣 Whumper captures Whumpee as bait to try to get to Caretaker, Whumpee believes Caretaker won't come, but they take the bait

🌀 Brainwashed or mind-controlled character being made to subject a loved one or ally to the same brainwashing/control

💔 Whumper offers first whumpee the chance to avoid further pain by helping torture second whumpee

💘 Whumper kidnaps Whumpee's friend in an attempt to break their spirit

Comfort:

☀️ Whumpee who has always been in captivity, in the outside world for the first time

❤️‍🩹 Caretaker brings Pet Whumpee home to aid them in recovery

⌛ Caretaker sees Whumpee for the first time since their captivity, and Whumpee has changed drastically

Dialogue prompt:

❌ "This is your fault, [whumpee], you know that, right? All the pain [caretaker] had to endure, just because you failed."

🚢 "Well," the captain said, opening the the door to the brig. The stowaway silently met his eyes from across the cage, and the captain gave a cruel grin. "Ready to speak yet?"

❓ "What happened to you?"

Sickfic or Whumperless:

🌡️ Character on a team is scolded for doing badly, only for everyone to find out she's been sick when she collapses

💤 Self-imposed sleep deprivation

🚑 Injured or ill character at the ER

Multi-prompt:

🧛 Role-reversal AU, Internal monologue, or Vampires

Day 4. Post a whump prompt.

Whumper takes a picture of whumpee every day, or week/month of captivity and puts it up on the wall in order so both whumpee and whumper can look at the pictures in comparison to each other and really see the changes whumper is putting whumpee through. Bonus is whumper gives whumpee body mods or drastically changes their look so they end up unrecognizble as the person they once were.

whumpmas in july day 4: post a whump prompt

for this glorious day of whumpmas, i've been charged to craft a prompt for a fellow participant in this event to fill, so, here goes! 😍

whumper/whumpee: fantasy creature hunter vs. fantasy creature (i.e. vampire hunter hurting a vampire, exorcist vs. demon, werewolf hunters vs. werewolf, etc.)

whump tropes desired: dehumanization, magical restraints, whipping/beating, group whumpers, public punishment, public humiliation, low self worth from the whumpee, begging.

setting/situation: hurting the whumpee for existing or on the grounds that the whumpee is "dangerous" in some way. perhaps some sort of making the whumpee an example or a group-bonding activity of ganging up on a whumpee.

to make this challenge easier on myself, i chose to follow the very helpful prompt template provided by @whumpmasinjuly! merry event-writing, i'm very intrigued to see how this is interpreted! (please feel free to use as many or as few of the tropes listed, i wanted there to be a range of options!) 💖

Day 4- Post a Prompt

Character A is notoriously obnoxious towards their enemies, and even more stubborn. Whumper is determined to be the person who breaks that bold spirit, so they kidnap A. When nothing seems to be shaking their resolve, Whumper tracks down Character B, a close friend of A's, and someone A thought was untouchable. A has a choice between preserving the person they are, or protecting someone they care about.
