Okay, so the latest chapter was... a lot, especially the ending:

I'm pretty sure that "The First World" refers to a time before the Void Century, "The Second World" to Void Century itself, and "The Third World" to the present day/future.

So, from this I'd gather that "Sun God" was someone who came to the aid of the enslaved, but lost some big battle, and the enemies of the enslaved he tried to help stayed in power. "God of the Land" could possibly refer to Imu. I also think that this was when the lost kingdom we hear about in the Ohara flashback was destroyed, but that some of it's people fled.

"Yet the ones who slew the sun" makes it clearer that by "The Second World" Sun God was dead, or at least defeated in a way that kept him from fighting at full power again, likely at the very end of "The First World." "Sun lit the embers of war" should refer to the people who the Sun God gave hope to and who rose to fight the enemy. "Evoking the wrath of the sea god" must refer to Poseidon sinking the world, creating the world of islands that we know in One Piece. "Sun God" refers to "Nika" who we're pretty sure is JoyBoy, yes? And "Sea God" is the mermaid who held the power of Poseidon, but the question is: who is "The God of Forest?" If we assume it's someone we've heard about before, it could be Zunesha, the elephant with an actual forest and land on her back, someone we know to have known Joyboy. Her "nurturing it's devils" could refer to her giving shelter and working as a hiding spot for the rebels, the ones continuing Joyboy's will. "Those of the half-crescent and full moons dreamed" is a part I'm not sure of, but "those of the full moons" could refer to the lost civilization that's ruins Enel found in, well, the moon. As for "half-crescent", I think they are still around; I think they are the carriers of "The Will of D." Perhaps "D" is not actually the letter D but a symbol of the half moon, making "Will of D." the will and legacy left behind by the people of half-crescent mentioned here. But if they are the people with the "D" in their name now, who were they in the past? One theory is that they are all of the same bloodline, but what if the "D" refers to a group they belonged to, people of some particular nation, perhaps the lost civilization that's name Clover almost told in the Ohara flashback? The thing that fights against this theory is that Nefertari D. Lily already had a D in her name back then, unless the group of rebels specifically took her name.

"Chaos reigns" indeed, but "the world drifts in a void?" What does that refer to? The void history people are unaware of? Does "as the voice of the half moon echoes through the ages" refer to the "will of D." and people who know about it? Note that here the half moon is mentioned again, while the moon, the people of the moon, are not. Wouldn't that imply that the people of the moon are gone, but the people of the half-crescent are still here, in one way or the other?

Assuming this is the future, we clearly have Luffy in this picture. I'm also pretty sure there's that robot from Egghead. And there's also a whale... Laboon? And isn't that a Lunarian in front of the whale? Is it King, or are there more of them hiding somewhere?

In any case, looking forward to see how much of this hits the mark and what I've missed.

One Piece is crazy right now!

* A “D.” who supposedly was from one of the 20 Kingdoms? What?!

* Just what the fuck are the Gorosei’s devil fruit powers? Mythical Zoan?

* Does Imu even have a fruit power? Are they beyond Devil Fruits? Is Imu even human?

* Does Dragon even know about this shit here with the Gorosei and Imu? Come on, man. Cough it the fuck up! I respect and believe in you, but damn Dragon, stop holding out on us.

* If Cobra really was a “D.”, then “D.” stands for “dead”, my guy! He got bodied in 4k, and the guys who did it thought no-one would watch it happen. Caught slipping!

* Imagine you’re Wapol and you go through all that trouble to get a kingdom back recognised by the World Government, and you catch the guys who run it merk one of the kings when you were just on your pissbreak, and started looking for some grub in the canteen. Shieeeeet!

* If this is the new CP0, then there needs to be “restructuring” of the group. How can you be caught slipping when your hostage is tied to a chair right in fron of you, and she still gives you the slip! These guys have Geppou and Soru, and there still getting blazed by a fat guy with an eating disorder as a superpower. Fuck hunting down Sabo, these guys ought to be fired first thing! That’s beoynd lacking.

* Speaking of bad hires, what the fuck is Fujitora playing at? Freeing the slaves when he weren’t even supposed to be at Mariejois, let alone having to defend it. I bet Ryokugyu was like “Aww hell naw!” and started squaring up. Bet you Morley was laughing his/her ass off at the fight of that shit. Let them fuck up each other like they peace out of there.

* Leo and Sai repping the Straw Hat flag! That’s what I like to see!

One Piece Theories: Blackbeard and the Will of D.

This one is less a theory and more a meta look at how Blackbeard compares to the other bearers of “D.”

The Will of D.

One of the biggest mysteries in thee One Piece world is the importance behind being a part of the D. Clan as well as the persistent “Will of D.”. I will go into more detail surrounding the importance of the D. Clan in another post. However, Teach stands out from the rest of the “D.”-holders in ways that bears mentioning.

The most glaring of these differences is Teach’s fear of death. Every other “D.”-bearer has faced death with acceptance and a smile on their face. Yet, the moment it looks like Whitebeard might finish Teach off, he crawls away petrified. This is important. It completely sets Teach apart from the others.

Whitebeard sees this cowardice and with his final breath tells Teach that he is not the man Roger is waiting for (Chapter 576).

What Being a Pirate Means to Luffy

Me: Luffy thinks the Pirate King is the freest person in the world and the one thing he can't stand is when another person takes someone's freedom away. Be they marine or pirate. That's why Luffy is no hero. He does what he wants based on selfish desires and if he happens to do some good then that's just a bonus. That's why his crew is loyal to him, not out of fear but respect, love, loyalty and friendship. Things that no money can buy and no prison can chain.
