Doing a semi-regular re-read of Run Verse and something caught my eye this time around in Earthquake Weather: --"He kept a questioning eye on her as he stuffed the money into his jacket, his forehead creased, like he was trying to remember something."Did we know each other?""No," she said, sitting back down next to him. Yay, you caught it. I think you might be only the second person who ever did (or at least, who ever said). 

She does spark a dim, very hazy memory in his beat up old brain. 

I’d started putting down pieces of “Ain’t Gonna Drown” while I was writing “Earthquake Weather” and I’d also started kicking around the idea of a time travel story, so I dropped in some things here and there that I thought I might be able to pick up and use later on. Including this bit.

if patrick ever convinced david to get a cat it would 10000000% be a bratty, chatty siamese cat. patrick would love it because it reminds him of david, david loves it because they're kindred spirits (but they definitely have "meow" "what?!?!" arguments)

fully gonna breakdown because my old cat is a siamese and they ARE so chatty and bratty, but also really loving and at least mine latched onto me and like no one else. this is fully headcanoned forever thank you so much

for the one on my back, about halfway thru i passed a pain event horizon and the pain was just something i experienced in the same way that i have a nose. it just is and its fine

the first few lines he did were agonizing and I had to have him stop every couple of seconds, but then after a few minutes I definitely got used to it to a degree. the closer he got to my inner thigh the worse the pain was, but there was definitely an event horizon of my body saying “oh I’m just experiencing this intense pain now, that’s fine.”
