shadows wings arnt re-tractable in this since this isn't during the time-eater thing/sonic generations, they-sonic and shadow- just sort of appeared in a weird universe where there's people w/wings everywhere and so he gets to have his wings forcibly out

so they're trying to get back home (sort of like the story-book games)

every level/stage/zone has around 10-15 of the wing collectables, if sonic gets all 100 +5 golden feathers -a more secret collectable (like the chaos emeralds in the classic games) - they get to go home so that sonic and shadow can take a break and go back to whatever they were doing b4 hand
