This place is huge and confusing. That made exploring all the more thrilling, Yuki Douji thought. Walking around, next to the ‘street’ full of ‘cars’, reading signs, and watching people. By the time Yuki Douji realizes his stomach is empty, he was a long way away from any familiar sight.

Spotting a cutely dressed lady, he came up to her and asked, "Miss, do you--"

His stomach growled. Loudly. Clearly. Flustered and blushing, he went silent before speaking again.

"D-do you know any shops nearby?", he stammered.

She’s staring intently at the remains of a broken flip phone, some of the plastic broken off near the edges to reveal circuitry beneath, the screen cracked and the inner workings damaged enough that it won’t even turn off. She puzzles and puzzles over it, taking note of the number pad and ‘Call’ and ‘End’ buttons but not quite knowing what they mean. 

“What on Earth is this contraption...?” She wonders out loud, perhaps a little louder than the muttering she’d aimed for. Honestly, there were many inventions in this new place, not least of which was the one she’d had to ride upon arrival here, but this was more or less the first time she’d had a moment to pick one up and try to figure it out.

This city was a hazard zone if he’d ever seen one. So far he’d been lucky enough not to get killed by a falling piece of rubble that had the audacity to fall near him. He was still particularly on edge about the possibility of being killed and being sent somewhere else in this godforsaken cycle he was stuck.

But if for right now it was maybe broken, just for a second, he should start gaining information.

Keeping the blanket he grabbed when he first entered the city around himself like a hooded shawl, he tried to learn anything he could be simply walking around. He stayed far away from both the hole and the fog that reached the edges of the city, not wanting to test fate in such a way. Still around the outskirts of the city, he spotted someone else walking around. Shifting the blanket to cover more of his face, he approached, letting his hand drop heavily onto her shoulder to get her attention.

“Do you know anything about this city, such as, where it is?”
