how far au is this site? will it still be recognizable as a marauders era site?
hey!
i’d say still recognizable as marauders era as it will:
be set during the 80′s
feature canons we all know and love from that era with what details about them we know of (ex. remus is still a werewolf, james and lily did get married, etc. etc.)
voldemort does exist and is still a threat
we do deviate like so:
milicent bagnold is not the current minister for magic
the ‘sides’ of the war will not be as strictly as defined within the order/death eater/ministry constructs. voldemort isn’t the only problem, but it is likely that his rise will add fuel to the state of the wizarding world as the imperius curse wears off and the deceased minister’s children begin to gather supporters
some additional lore: species, creatures, land divisions (as each side forms and resides in areas they claim + how their magic affects their surroundings), etc.
these are just a few things but i hope they become clearer as we release more info (aka soon!)

i have a question about the portion of the canon list shown so far; does it show gender of characters and can siblings/children be added with approval?
nope, gender is open! and yes, siblings/children may be added, as well as spouses.
a canon has two suggested faces, but can we use a different face? one that isnt suggested.
it would be possible to have an alternate face cleared by the admins. the only rule would be that for poc canons, the diff face would have to be the same ethnicity as the suggested faces.
can we use canon surnames and make "original characters" with them. ie adrian pucey's daughter?
Yes! Those are what out semi-canon characters are.
