In the interest of the season, would you like to take a crack at the Winx's vampire dresses from season 6? Aka, the same black dress copypasted six times.
I think you mean the black ones? Not the “shimmer in the shadows” outfits? Lmao anyways I used the black ones as inspo and made them into a mini collection (which is why everybody’s hair and eye makeup are all the same except Stella who is wearing items from the collection but isn’t technically modeling it on stage in this case)
Eldora the Fairy
So
the other day I was looking for Winx transformations when I bumped into these
And for a hot second I got EXCITED thinking this was Headmistress Faragonda and “OMG they showed her TRANSFOR-
oh
It’s not her -_-” It’s some Earth Fairy called Eldora. Or at least she lives on Earth. And like, fine. Sure, cool, it’s still an elderly woman in a magical form, which is Rare and Good..... but C’MON how could they never give us transformed Faragonda?? Goddammit...
I guess one could say it’s cause she doesn’t need to transform to use her powers at full force (we do see her using powers after all)...And also the other day I read that before being a fairy Faragonda was a WITCH?!?! Whaaat GIVE THAT STORY TO MEEE. Ahem. Anyway, witches don’t transform to use their full powers so maybe it’s easier for Faragonda to access that too....but STILL...I wanted to see it so badly...Also, not even one flashback??? there are so many seasons, c’mon even Griffin got one (not a particularly cool one mind you but it was...something)....
But back to Eldora
She is a Fairy Godmother and used to teach Florimagia at Alfea but then at some point she became guardian of the Legendarium and of... the Library of Alexandria??????
I guessing in-series that’s Earth’s (biggest? only?) magical library, but like, do they imply (or full out explain) that when it got burned down it was actually the Fairies who hided it as a last resort to protect its knowledge before they were wiped out from Earth? or something like that?? Cause that’s... pretty cool, actually. I gotta give them that.
Not really planning on watching the later seasons...but boy this kind of thing tempts me... [ edit: I wrote this a few weeks ago and oops I actually went on and watched this, haha...I’m leaving it here anyway cause I wanted to register my thoughts upon finding out about her, though! ]
Yes I’m just adding more pics cause I wanna show more of the elderly fairy XD Also apparently she’s “Wise, kind, odd, funny, vivacious and eccentric” which paints a nice picture - though I had imagined her a bit more strict (maybe cause that’s the librarian stereotype lol)
While I’m not defending Anon at all, (all girls are queens). I think it’s important to note that the official Winx style is inspired by 1940s fashion sketches, which had insanely thin waistlines and an hourglass figure. I don’t think there was any intended harm by this design.
Yeah no I understand that media have certain “looks” to them sometimes jyst because the creators like that aesthetic or whatever, its just sometimes winx REEEEEALLY pushes the proportions (especially seasons 6 and 7), and the flash animation makes it seem.... even weirder? for some reason? cant put my finger on why but its like especially noticeable with their hips
hiya! I got a few questions. Will the ways the girls earn Draconix be altered? I presume Aisha and Stella won't just earn the almighty power of the dragon fire by doing a backflip. and also, what's your favorite transformation sequence (choreography)?
yes! So I know I’ve covered this here and there but here’s the basic run down, the Legendarium functions as a black hole for magical energies, it can be directed by its master but will also latch onto any signatures it comes in contact with so when the winx attack it when their magic it snatched hold of their signatures and absorbed them entirely. The winx (minus Bloom who’s dragon fire immediately rekindled her core) went into super serious core fatigue, and would have died if Bloom hadn’t given them sparks of the dragon flame. The Dragon Flame(ie bloom) sustains the girls’ cores until they metabolize it, enough to keep them on their feet and some minor magic usage.
Their cores will eventually recover and metabolize the Dragon flame. This is a natural process like the body metabolizing alcohol and stuff, but its never been used so its a little unpredictable. It seems to metabolize quicker when the girl is in a highly emotional state and striving for something (saving miele, protecting everyone at alfea, protecting musa, saving the golden auditorium, etc) and this sudden release gives them Draconix. Bloom is a little more unique(because bloom) but her sustaining the other girls drains her core enough to start displaying core fatigue symptoms even after the others metabolize it. Being thrown into the vortex of flames, an energy source originally created by the great dragon, boosts her core and dragon flame resulting in Draconix.
So I haven’t been shy about my dislike of Sirenix aesthetically, BUT I actually love the transformation sequence (3D, 2D is kinda meh) its so sharp and bouncy and the girls are showing their personality and!!!! look its good animation sequencing with an unfortunately dull result :/
Wouldnt bloom retain a fragment of the dragon flame since she got bloomix and all or would she lose that as well when giving away the dragon flame
So funny thing about fire. It spreads. All Boom really did in my AU is burn out the Legendarium’s bindings that were placed around the other girls’ cores. However the magic she used to burn the binds away, kind of “got stuck” to the other girls’ cores in the process and so was a constant drain on Bloom’s magic. The other girls cores’ metabolized the dragon fire when they proved to the dragon that they were brave or whatever and achieved Draconix, but Bloom was so drained and pulled in 5 different directions by that time that she was starting to experience core fatigue, which can lead to death if left un-treated. The Vortex of Flames was originally created with the dragon fire, so when she entered it her core basically got a shot of vitamins and she recovered super quickly. Usually Core Fatigue is treated with a medically induced coma and magic “bubbling” to prevent the core from expelling or absorbing any more magic.
Can you please draw the original mythix fairies? I’ve become so invested in all of these such unique and brilliant additions you’ve made to this universe!
yes! here they are~~~~~
They’re all Danix fairies so some design elements are different.
