Here it is, the Sights and Sounds of the A-Students Speech Contest... So, the main idea of the Speech Contest was to provide a platform for secondary school students to air their views about the state of the nation as well as the unique role that education plays in global transformation. The Adekunle Ajasin University team of the Ambassadors of Africa (@AOAfrica1) therefore brought together students from various secondary schools in the Akoko area of Ondo State, Nigeria to speak on the topic "Education: a veritable tool for National Development". The event, which turned out to be an incredibly inspiring one, proved the fact that #Education is indeed the key to Sustainable Development. At the end of the contest, the winners were: First position - Community High School, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria Second Position - Greater Tomorrow College, Arigidi-Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria Third Position - Mount Camel Girls Grammar School, Ikare Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria "Project A-Students" is one of our cardinal projects which aims at "...raising excellent students, a student at a time" and through this project, we have positively impacted over 22,500 students in several African communities. While this project is seeks to inspire the next generation of world leaders, we have strategically focused on helping young people in rural communities reach their fullest potentials. The success stories of this project over the years and the passion with which these students delivered their speeches has inspired to do more. Because, after all, the world needs us; our generation needs us and posterity awaits. While I, today celebrate this team of vibrant, dutiful, proactive, and highly resourceful young leaders, I urge you to join hands with us as we make #QualityEducation available and accessible to people of every age, gender, background and social status.
