Wow. I could understand utaustin's policy of charging heavy users of bandwidth, but charging all students to use the Internet (except for the public computer workstations in the General Libraries*) is cray-cray.

*I take this to mean that students can’t access the Internet without a subscription from other labs, including the UT-only library labs.

hey I don't agree with the fact that people in america should have firearms like they were alloweded in the 1st place during western tims when houses were so scattered and police couldn't control much because they were too fare away to get there and be useful. There was a law that stated that firearms were permitted if police couldn't be here before 1/2days of horse riding or something. Now it's useless i mean u things are less scattered, and policemen have cars so...

Wait, what? Passengers aren't allowed to read books or magazines during takeoff and landing? Is this a new rule, a case of a misplaced modifier, or has reading during takeoff and landing always been forbidden? I've been in the habit of bringing a paper magazine or book on the plane, just so I have something to read on takeoff and landing.

Update: oh nevermind, I missed the "held" part of the passage. I guess there may be air travelers who read magazines with them sitting in their laps.
