Pinto is a Hybrid Dragoness, a mix between a Tannin and Valkirtani so she has the Tannin Poison Element and Valkirtani Magic. She was raised by her father in a forest isolated from the rest of the world to keep her safe from Tannin who try to hunt and kill or capture her for being a Hybrid Dragon. She grew up safe but lonely, she had the company of her father and multitudes of books but she really wanted to be out in the world learning about every curiosity and making friends, but she is aware of the dangers and knows isolation and secrecy are her best defenses in that regard. Her father taught her almost everything she needed to know with an emphasis on Hunting and survival skills but as a Tannin the one thing he was incapable of teaching her was how to use her Valkirtani magic, and not for lack of trying. He attempted to find her books about Valkirtani that might help her but villages were typically lacking that sort of information. Along with her survival training her father also started a game to test her knowledge and they have been playing it since Pinto was very young. Her father would find somewhere in the forest to hide but he would leave clues leading to his hiding spot, and usually Pinto would get some kind of prize for finding him like a new book or they would end up having a feast together. Each time he made the challenge a little harder and Pinto would have to work harder or travel farther to find her father.
At the beginning of the story Pinto sets off on one of these tests with a note telling her that this would be her final challenge and it will take her out of her home forest, so she needs to be extra careful not to get caught by other dragons. Just in case of danger and there is no other way out he leaves her "The Twining Snake Fang" a Macahuitl-like blade made of a flexible wood with a Razor Obsidian Edge. Pinto does not like having to fight other dragons unless as a last resort, she's more of a diplomat who would prefer to use her wits and her magic to find clever ways to trap or distract and escape enemies. The last thing she wants to do is have to kill another dragon simply because Pinto is a kind and intelligent dragoness, though maybe that is exactly why she IS the one who should have a sword. A lot of weapons have other utilities than fighting: An axe can be used to cut wood, a spear can be used for Hunting and Fishing, a Hammer can be used for breaking hard rocks or building... A sword is a versatile weapon but it's main function is being a weapon, and Pinto will know when it's appropriate to draw a sword.
Then along her journey she finds a young Dragon named Bys being attacked by a pair of Wild Wyverns and made a choice to forgo secrecy and safety to save another dragon's life and then takes responsibility for the young dragon who wasn't going to survive on their own and ends up forming a bond with Bys like they are the a younger sibling Pinto never got to have. Along their journey they would meet other dragons, some friends, some foes, and difficulties all around but they will be ok because they are in this great adventure together.
While Pinto is still in training she had managed to create couple of basic spells simply through trial and error: Combustion, Coagulation, and Redox
-Combustion allows her to create a chemical reaction in her Poison Gas breath that starts a combustive chain reaction causing her poison to burst into a fireball
-Coagulation condenses her poison from the form of a gas to a viscous sticky liquid that's cold to the touch and rapidly expelling energy to freeze solid
-Redox allows her to create an chemical reaction in her poison gas that starts an electrical chain reaction causing her poison to deliver an electric shock like a small but powerful storm cloud.
Notable facts:
Don't let Pinto Cook, she can make edible food but it does not taste very good. She tends to get distracted and burns her food. Bys likes it anyway
Her natural Venom is a mix between Green Toxin (Long Lasting effect over time) and Purple Toxin (Magical effect), this creates an ongoing Curse effect
Pinto has a tendency to over share any fact she finds interesting and can talk for hours if you allow her.
Her father is not her biological father, but he is enough of a real father to her that it doesn't really matter to Pinto.
