Story idea
Some sort of magic all women’s Amazonian-esc society with their location being only accessible to women and then one day some random masculine guy just accidentally ends up there and while a lot of people are thinking maybe the magic is failing in fact there’s just some things that “dude” has to consider about herself.
So many times I think something along the lines of “if I had that much money, the things I’d do to help people.”
This instantly reminds me why I won’t ever have that much money
Ranking addressing the audience
Laddies, lasses and lassos - Encompasses everyone. Fun to hear and to say. Unique non-gendered one
Any use of 2 or 3 seemingly not-gendered terms - Just funny and doesn’t necessarily exclude anyone because it isn’t targeting anything realistic
Guys, gals and non-binary pals - Doesn’t work for everyone but more than older ones. Flows well
Ladies, blokes, and all other folks - Encompasses everyone. Could do with a more fun word than ladies but there aren’t any I’ve heard that’d go well. Doesn’t flow as well as the last 2 but still quite well.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girl - A classic and performative. Misses a lot of people, but it was normal for the time in all fairness.
Ladies and gentlemen - Like the last one but leaves out kids
Everyone/everybody - Boring, but all encompassing
Guys and girls - Misses a lot of people. Not too fun besides the double ‘G’
People - Works for everyone, but the least likely to sound right in this list
Anything actively prejudicial - I shouldn’t have to explain
There are quite a few parts of the body that could be accurately by described as a flesh sac
People who hate on or don’t believe aro and ace confuse me more than on any of the others
How fucking horny and/or romantically desperate do you have to be to not believe someone can just, not feel either or both of those. Do they never just, exist sometimes? Do they desire to be with every person they see, and expect everyone should be like that as well?
We missed out on some serious biology opportunities
Yeah it’s neat to be able to eat chocolate and capsaicin, have opposable thumbs, and I’d never wish to not have the brains we do.
But the fact we didn’t get even ONE of colour changing, sex changing, minor immortality, hyper regeneration, wall climbing, cancer resistance, any innate offensive or defensive capabilities, flying, tails, silk making, powerful senses, biological projectiles, or ultraviolet light vision is just a bit disappointing. And that’s just the ones I could come up with in the time I’m willing to dedicate to making this.
There are 2 things I can think of that don’t have my existence be against hyper conservative acceptance
White
Not born into poverty
Conversely, without getting too deep into the political specifics we have:
Autistic
Bisexual
Transgender girl
Left wing in general
Agnostic
Potentially aromantic
Probably like 3 other things I had when I initially brainstormed this post and have since forgotten about because idk that just happens
And I think that’s just kinda neat, ya know?
ChatGPT’s existence has me potentially overthinking every video that explains things too much
If I hear something like “it’s not [x]…” too many times I get an instant red flag that it might be an ai script even when it probably isnt. Getting rewired to not trust people :(
Wizard to wizard assumptions are crazy
No, I am not someone’s familiar. No, I am not a druid in wild shape. No, I was not cast on to make me this way. No, I did not gain powers from a lizard loving patron. No, there is not anything special about my bloodline making me a sorcerer.
I studied the arcane just the same as everyone else, and I am just as capable. I know what I am doing just the same as all the other wizards. Some of us are just a little bit different.
Random bs comparison or whatever I just came up with
Education and organisations are in a way like baking, and their ingredients.
There is precedent to group ingredients vaguely, such as wet and dry, powders, dairy. Occasionally you get things like cream, milk and butter, that are at their very fundamentals the same.
Eventually, you do end up as one product when it all meshes together an is processed, but until you get to the finished product, you certainly couldn’t claim them to be the same thing and they do not act all that similarly.
Now I’m sure there’s an argument it wouldn’t work well for cis guys and trans guys
But I really think the world would be a much better place is food Estrogen was as effective as like the pills. You’d need a fair bit more in quantity of stuff consumed than the actual medical pills, but imagine if I could have the same effects by just downing a litre of soy milk every day
Have I read or watched any official Harry Potter content? No.
Do I support J K Rowling? No, of fucking course not.
Can I claim it isn’t entertaining to listen to people talking about itty bits and pieces about the lore, the theoretics of how the world would work and could be outdone, and not hateful people making comedic bits based on the universe? Also no.
The invention of the Rubik’s cube probably allowed for SO MANY nerdy kids to gain massive popularity
The amount of times I’ve seen where someone who is a massive academic (which of course does not exclude one from becoming popular, but those who seek only knowledge do not tend to have achievement relevant to the mind of many 8 year olds) that has been huh in the playground social hierarchy due to the ability to solve a 3x3x3 (-1) cube puzzle.
banger posts dawg
Thanks mate!
Current peak of my tumblr usage is 10 notes, 6 likes, 2 comments (one was me) and 2 reblogs
I think maybe 2 other things I’ve posted for notes? I sure do have engagement!
Honestly, the older generations are the number one group fuelling generative AI’s value
Older people are the number one group to believe AI is real, and even a lot of those that can tell whom I know of are the most likely to view it as normal along with anything else anyway.
Sure, there’s younger people that do too. And there’s some highly popular memes like the doorbell ones that have been made popular not so much by the older generations. But in the end the fuel to the fire for progression and moving more into the slop is mostly how much people are believing it or enjoying it and adding to retention.
It seems proportionately that it’s more them making it seem profitable to anyone who creates or uses the stuff, and as everyone progresses in time my hope is that this will eventually cause a pop in the bubble.
