decided to take a crack at my own contest and redraw one of my favorite moments from Escaping Peril! Here's the graphic novel page I took inspiration from:

Heyyy sup You wanted suggestion about which wof character to draw, and I would love to see a Skywing in your style! Not Peril, i love her but she’s overdone, so Flame or maybe Ruby (I think that’s the queen’s name) :3 characters with scars aren’t drawn enough btw

I’ve draw Flame already so I focused on sketching out Ruby/Tourmaline this time around.

Because Ruby was enchanted to not be as strong as Tourmaline was she doesn’t have as much muscle definition despite early training. Rip to muscled women but it make sense for the specific purpose of the enchantment. Other than that, a major part of Ruby’s design in both bpversions of her is silver jewelry. I think it’d be interesting if she had opposite tastes in accessories than her mother, favoring silver over gold. Admittedly, the silver looks more at home on Ruby’s scales than it did Tourmaline so I may have to tweak the metal shade.

Drew more of a headshot to better gauge the shape of his scar and how it affects him. This specific interaction shows that his scar actually cut into his eye and likely leaves him half-blinded due to it.
