Happiest Birthday to LEE GRINNER PACE (March 25, 1979)
Do y'all remember the era of late 90s early 2000s fantasy/sci fi/adventure television that perfectly blended camp with, I'm going to rip your heart out and you're going to like it?
Merlin, Xena, Buffy, Legend of the Seeker, Farscape, Doctor Who reboot #1, The Tenth Kingdom, Wonderfalls, Star trek
Just a few that spring to mind. It seems like current television wants to choose whether they are goofy or dramatic, why don't you put your hands together?
Wonderfalls | 1.13
If you're a fan of Bryan Fuller's work in TV, (Hannibal, Pushing Daisies, Dead Like Me, American Gods, etc etc) his feature film debut movie is coming out THIS YEAR!
Dust Bunny stars Mads Mikkelson as an assassin who helps his eight year old neighbor kill "the monster under her bed" after it eats her family, which he suspects is actually rival assassins gunning for him. It's action, horror, comedy, and has his typical whimsical maximalism for which he's known.
It's releasing in US theaters in early December from a small distributor, Roadside Attractions, so it might not be in every theater but you should seek it out and support it, if you like his other work and indie movies!
theres a genre of tv show i dont know what the term for that genre is. quantum leap, zoey's extrodinary playlist, wonderfalls, eli stone, touched by an angel, care bears. etc there are many, you yes you reading this can name atleast three more without trying. procedural where every week they are inserted into the life of a stranger and have to make their life better, make them happy, solve a problem, guardian angel stuff. rescue them but 'morally' or socially rescue them not superhero or gun rescue them. whats that genre called?
very big fan of this guy
