Rest Day - 3/23/22
I'm working 10 days straight at my vanilla job so I'm going easy with weight training this week.
So I decided to take a second rest day. I left work, drove to a grocery store to buy some bay leaves and a couple other spices and a few cans of soup.
Returned some books and cds to the library and checked out a new stack. Washed my car and got fast food before going home.
I'm really struggling to eat enough and healthy lately. I'm working more and spending at least an hour at the gym 5 days a week so I'm hungrier with less time to cook.
I don't like meal prepping but I do like the idea of batch cooking staple foods and mix and matching them for different meals throughout the week.
So I decided to batch cook brown lentils and white rice :)
Turned out good 👍

Workout #25 - 4/4/22
Chest workout
First day back in the gym after a week off
Went fairly easy
Still trying to figure out a good lifting & ultra running schedule. I've been looking on Lift Heavy Run Long for help but I'm going to have to shift my main focus back to ultra running until August anyways.

Rest day - 3/26/22
Decided to take a rest day instead of my arm workout. Depending on how I'm feeling, I might do my arm workout tomorrow.
I'm pretty exhausted from work but there's a day off in the horizon 😂
Anyways, left work and stopped off for fast food and then did a quick grocery shop. I spent $55.
After grocery shopping, I got my car washed before heading home. Walked the dogs, fed the pets and cleaned out my fridge.
Made lil smokies and pizza rolls for dinner before getting ready for bed.

Workout #22 - 3/24/22
Shoulder workout
Ex kept staring at me at work today. I think he's losing his shit - probably more of a control thing rather than an emotional one on his end 🤪
Left work late with no lunch so I opted to eat my leftover rice & lentils in my car before heading to the gym.
Didn't fully stick to my usual shoulder workout 100% since this is pretty much a recovery week for me.
Had a fun workout overall. Hit 3 PRs and rocked out to Throwdown on Pandora 😁
I'm having difficulty trying to fit in my ultra training in with my weight lifting. Still working on it. But for now cardio is an hour walk with my dogs after the gym.

Workout #21 - 3/21/22
Chest workout
Opted for a sandwich for breakfast at my vanilla job instead of my usual oatmeal. I'm still having trouble eating enough with my big increase in weight lifting. More time at the gym means less time to spend cooking and eating. I'm still finding the right balance.
I had a great workout today! Upper body strength is coming back again in terms of super heavy lifts.
I've also been doing loaded decline leg press a few times a week at the end of my workouts just for fun. I maxed out at 410 lbs today....just 30 lbs away from my ultimate PR.
Made progress on my form with cable crossovers.
