Welp. Today is WREB. Either my patient qualifies and I pass, or my patient doesn’t, I get the backup, and pass, or something bad happens and I have to redo it tomorrow. 

.....Everyone else in the class has passed, why am I so nervous? idk. But good vibes are appreciated.

May 3, 2014: WREB Day 1 Summary

One of my back up patients straight up didn't come even though I confirmed with him the previous day.

I took FOREVER on my #18-M composite prep. I took great care not to undermine the buccal cusp. 

I already felt bad taking so long on the prep, and to make matters worse, the restoration took an hour. I used the Garrison rings at first. I got submargination at the gingival floor and the proximal contact was undercontoured. I didn't feel good turning it in like that, so I tried to redo the proximal portion with the Garrison rings again. My hands had started shaking at that point. The results came out the same. Ugh. I redid it AGAIN, but this time used the Triodent rings, and it came out good. I didn't dismiss the patient until 12:45pm. 

By the time I set up for the next appt it was 1:30pm. It took a long time to prepare him for check-in because I was turning him in for perio and amalgam. The perio charting took a while. Several minutes were wasted at check-in because they returned the patient, saying I didn't have all the necessary instruments. Ugh. I didn't start working on him until 2:45pm -- WAY later than I wanted to start. Luckily it was only perio though. One of his papilla was flapping around after. I hope it wasn't an issue.

No pink slips. Awesome. But that doesn't guarantee passing either.
