I have a question, will you incorporate the fact that the King of hearts pardon "criminals" behind the Queen of hearts' back, like in the original book? Or would doing so make things worse for him?
I just feel like it's such a thing your MC would do or William, anything to keep other people alive.
Yes.
The King of Hearts has been trying and failing to save the lives of people his wife wants executed because he feels responsible for their situation. And it’s been driving him crazy.
Besides that I won’t elaborate. The final part of the first chapter will explain things fully.
My main motivation for improving my writing and putting out finished works into the world is so I can gush over my ocs with people. Like look at these neat little guys they're cool and you so def play with them in your mind doll house like I do 🩷
Are there any beta readers out there for this Falbi (Falco Grice/Gabi Braun) fic I'm working on?
It may or may not include other ships, but heavily focuses on Falco (my first time trying to do a character study), the friendship between Falco & Zofia, Falco & Eren, and Falco & Mikasa.
Real talk though: why do people enjoy torturing and hurting their characters?? I genuinely...don't understand how you don't feel some remorse or how you can look forward to it??
I'm attempting a random word generator drabble challenge so I can stop being lazy. I'm doing them out of order so ignore the numbering.
Summary: "I think we'll finally be able to cross one of our date ideas off the list."
'dude come over. i've got a surprise for you.'
That was the text Tweek had been staring at his entire shift, the anticipation making him more jittery than normal. He was more than used to his boyfriend's random texts through out the day, but if there was one thing Craig wasn't known for, it was surprises.
Tweek read over the text one last time as he hung up his apron and grabbed his keys. Thankful for once that his parents weren't around to help him close, he turned out the lights and locked the door, hurrying around the side of the shop. He wheeled his bike out from its hiding spot and hopped on, taking off through the frigid night air toward Craig's.
It felt like forever before he was on Craig's front lawn, dropping his bike in the snow and worrying more than a little that his nose was going to freeze off. He could barely feel his fingers as he knocked on the door, hoping more than anything that this surprise was worth it.
Craig answered the door not long after and took his hands to tug him inside.
"Your hands are freezing," Craig said and squeezed them between his own, attempting to rub some warmth back into Tweek's numb fingers.
"They wouldn't be if I didn't have to bike all the way here," Tweek shot back.
"You could have called, babe. I would've picked you up," Craig answered and dropped his hands to rifle through his jacket pocket. He pulled out a familiar piece of paper and beckoned Tweek out of the doorway. "I think we'll finally be able to cross one of our date ideas off the list."
"Which one?" Tweek asked as he kicked off his boots and hung up his coat.
Craig moved closer, holding the list so Tweek could see it. "Number twenty: make out under the stars," he read aloud.
Tweek gave him a bemused look. "You want to do that tonight? Isn't it kind of cold?" Tweek could imagine the frost bite now, and he wasn't sure he wanted to risk it. Not even for steamy make outs.
"Don't worry about it," Craig replied and took his hand again to tug him upstairs. It was only once they were in Craig's room that he dropped his hand to hold up his own in a surprise gesture. "Ta-da," he said with only a minimal amount of sarcasm.
Tweek looked around and frowned. "That's it? How are we supposed to make out under the stars in your room? We've made out in here a million times! That doesn't really count, Craig!" Tweek swore if he biked all the way here just to make out in Craig's bed again, well, he wouldn't be super angry, but he would be a little steamed.
He gave Craig a look, but Craig merely rolled his eyes and shut his door. "Are you ready for the real surprise?" he asked and, without waiting for an answer, he flicked off the lights to reveal a whole ceiling covered in glow in the dark stars.
Tweek stared up at them all, marveling at how long it must have taken for Craig to stick them all up there. That and how much of a dork he was for spending all his time putting up glow in the dark stickers.
Before he could think of anything to say, Craig was in front of him with his hand wrapped around the back of Tweek's neck. He pulled him down into a brief kiss then pulled away only a centimeter.
"Well? Does it count?" Craig asked, his hand moving to Tweek's cheek instead.
Tweek merely smiled and wrapped his arms around Craig's waist, pulling him in again. It was only when their lips were about to touch that he whispered his answer.
