I sipped the strong coffee of your eyes,

                                           and I awoke

from the unknown sleep

and stupor of stepping 

off in obtuse directions

                     away from you and afar.

I drank the dark chocolate of your hair,

                                              and I indulged,

with comb-forked fingers

that waterfell forever,

and felt your long rakes lash

                        my face with every blink.

I savored the red wine of your lips,

                                               and I exulted,

in the ebullience of my blood,

flowing free and unfettering

the hidden truths that

                        beg be brought to surface.

I swallowed the honey lemon of your skin,

                                                 and I revived

 the charm of chimeric youth

and visions of innocuous pollen

flying everywhere in the daylight

                           of beautiful, chaotic consummation.
