I think I figure out how friendships work:

Stage 1: people telling me all of their problems, expecting me to fix them and not asking me anything about myself/my life =treating me as their therapist

Stage 2: people telling me " I wish I had your problems" or " I wish I didn't have any problems. Just like you!"
