I wholeheartedly agree with your BLM tags. I truly love those guys, but they should be doing something, considering their whole careers have been built off of black culture and music.
Right exactly! From the VERY beginning of their careers they've been immersed in black culture, have literally said that they take inspiration from countless black artists, work alongside black artists. They've built their ENTIRE empire off of black culture, but when it comes down to it they'd rather turn the other way and stay silent on a cause meant for the very people who essentially gave them everything they have? They have HUGE platforms and HUGE wallets, it's their responsibility to speak up but they couldn't even do the bare minimum and post a black square lmao (save youngbae ofc - although I really wish he did more than just post a pic).
I honestly never expected anything from them to begin with, but after seeing all these other idols and even ROOKIE IDOLS!!! who literally put their freedom in danger by speaking out (the girl from secret number having all her accounts closed by her company for posting about blm and her pics deleted) their lack of action becomes even more embarrassing and insulting. Not to mention what top posted the other day which he now deleted which was, imo, very insensitive. This just shows how silence speaks volumes; how little they actually care about the cause and the people they take their careers from, how theyd rather stay sheltered behind their rich doors and hide from the realities of the world because they're privileged enough to do so. I'm extremely disappointed in them
