Zookeeper Willex honestly started because Bindi and Chandler Powell did something cute (I don't even remember what) and I went "well now I have to write Willex."
So here's a short excerpt. A brief explanation: Willie works largely with the tigers and when exposed to new scents, tigers essentially lose their shit. They especially like smelly stuff like flowers and herbs. So what zookeepers do for enrichment is steep flowers in water and then load that water into a water gun and then hose down an area of the enclosure.

“I do,” she says. “You noticed I wore them a lot so you wondered if they were my favorite flower.”
“Yes, that,” Willie says, and then pulls something out of the chest. He turns around and claps a massive water gun into his hand. They all flinch back at the sight of what has ended in massive water fights for them and Alex honestly expects Willie to just start hosing them down, but instead he just grins at them. “Wanna see some cute shit?”
