Digimon Battle Generation is the Digimon fanseries of mine that I actually do have a whole lot of illustrations for, as writing the series coincided with me having an income for he first time in my life, and also being friends with a lot of fanartists in the Digimon fandom on DevArt back in the day.

This is the image I basically used as a cover back in the day when I uploaded the fic to German fansites. Now I finally got around to translating it.

Featuring the adult Denrei, adult Takato, and Takumi, the new goggle boy of the story, who is 14 at the time of the story. Including their partners, of course.

This artwork was done as a commission by QirkiDigital back in the day.

Folkleomon

His righteous heart was blinded by the duende andaluz. This leomon decided to put battles aside to dedicate himself body and soul to the fun of the festivities. He is a great lover of fairs and pilgrimages, but even more so of fine wine, which is why he is a great follower of Bacchusmon, whom he uses as the perfect excuse to celebrate and drink.

He was so eager to party that he pawned his valuable sword and necklace to buy clothes to wear to go out and party. He is a great flamenco dancer, and his clapping in time resonates wherever he goes. If he gets excited enough, he can sing with his hoarse voice or even play the flamenco box.

He uses clapping as a form of combat; his special attack is Drunken Fist, with which he shakes his fist forcefully, releasing his energy, which takes the form of his beloved Bacchusmon.

I would love a digimon adventure 02 reboot where the whole gimmick is that the original cast never met their digimon. Like taichi decided to stay home with hikari when she got sick and missed the camping trip, causing the camp to have to re-shuffle the groups so each group would have an even amount, thus splitting the team and causing the ogs to miss their digivice’s arrival, causing a ripple effect. Then daisuke, miyako and iori all get their digimon (somehow) and have to fight the digimon kaiser AND all of the OG villains while takeru and hikari (and the rest of the ogs) just do school shenanigans and constantly bait the audience into thinking they’ll meet their digimon soon.

I know technically 02 relies heavily on it being a sequel series but since this would be a reboot, the writers could play with the idea that this is a different reality and do tons of bait and switches. I also think this would be a good opportunity to let the 02 kids shine on their own (since i feel like a big problem with 02 is that they had to split their screen time with the ogs, thus not leaving a lot of time for their own qualities to shine). Maybe a good audience mystery is “what happened to the og digimons?”

Aough, been a hot minute since I last posted..Well, thats because I basically went through art therapy and refurbished my artstyle!

With Impmon as the lead digimon this time around, so...hes getting a unique evoline, where it gives a more coherient transition from impmon to Beelzemon (Ill do separate posts for the Champion and Ultimate.)
