Erm... I was going to actually write something (i had a weird thought nugget about Cutler, and it needs writing!) ... but then Xander had other ideas, it would seem... I have yet to figure out why he thinks being possessive of my keyboard is a good idea, but he won't let me type anything. The moment I go to touch the keyboard: resource-guarding. He lets me touch my phone, my crochet, and even himself, no problem, but the keyboard: property of Xander now. 🤷
Update on the silly:
Toe is permanently flat and paw is at a weird angle, but at least he can walk without a limp now, and when the weather is cooler again, he has had the all-clear to go running around up the field and going for long walks down to the river again. For a 12yo lab mutt, he's holding together not too bad!
My phone accidentally took a pic of Xander mid-yawn and honestly wtf is this abomination?! 🤣😭
Bloody dimwit of a demon pupper! He's only gone and ruptured one of the internal stitches on his worst side! I'm currently waiting to see if he needs to head up to the emergency clinic (my poor bank account lol!) - I need to monitor him over the next 1-2 hours, if it doubles in size or more, then he needs to go up to have it re stitched. I'm just hoping it settles on its own (similar happened when he was neutered, and the bleeding stopped naturally, so I'm hoping the same happens now🤞)
Pic of the lumpy pup below the cut (there's no blood, but thought it best just in case anyone's squeamish with a neatly stitched seam...)
Writing should resume tonight, or at the latest, tomorrow. Xander is feeling much better - to the point where i'm struggling to keep him calm... and I've got another week of this - gods help me!
How is your beast doing?
Also: a Get well card for him
Aww! Thank you!
He's feeling much better now. It took him nearly two days, but he's almost back to himself now - to the point where he tried to scare off the delivery guy this morning... oops!
Here's an eepy Xander:
Proof that Xander can fly!
And an additional picture of a studious Xander showing off his weird Vhagar neck skin:
