xB likes cuddling up to his partners when they're doing something else, like when Xisuma is talking about code to the other hermits, or forcing his way under Beef's arm when he's talking with some of his other friends, sprawling across Hypno when he's supposed to be doing something else, or straight up napping on Keralis in a meeting. It's not out of jealousy, absolutely not, they're all very free in their love so long as they communicate it, so they dont get jealous often, it's just that he likes it when he doesn't feel like people are judging him, he likes it when they scratch his hair in just the right way, when they gently brush against his gills, it's peaceful and xB wishes he could be like this forever.

He knows he's not good at outwardly expressing his love like many of the hermits do. So this, for him, has always been an easy way to show how much he appreciates them. He does try not to get in their way, but he's discovered most of them will put him closer regardless of if it's inconvenient.

Beef once compared him to a cat. They all feel extremely privileged that xB loves them enough to share his time with them. They want to make the most of it!

xB grumbled but snuggled in anyway. There's worse things to be called.
