Summary: Xue Chengmei reunites with Xiao Xingchen and Song Lan, and they finally get out of Lanling.

Whilst enduring the attitude of Madam Su, Song Lan ends up connecting with Xue Chengmei on a new level.

Summary: ...from time to time Song Lan's fingers encircled his wrist and remained there for streets at a time, as if he knew he was thinking about running off.

Xue Chengmei tried not to find it comforting. There would be no more comfort once they knew about what he'd done.

Rounding a corner, Song Lan dared to glance backwards and saw that the number of Jin disciples pursuing him had increased.
