I like the Lantern Fest but it could really have been just a bit better. Like why are we dealing with NPCs when we have Liyue characters?
Like Ningguang and Keqing could be co-leading the festival this year,trying to work together for Liyue's future or whatever.
Xinqiu and Chongyun could've been the ones who are in charge of the tower defense game. I dunno Chongyun maybe needs the Xiao lanterns for some type of new year blessing thing,or maybe he just wants a lot of them to write a wish of meeting ghosts so he can actually you know,meet one. And Xinqiu just made up a board game for funsies,also to tease his friend when he loses.
Xingling could've easily been in charge of the festival versions of the food,adding some werid things to the food becuase thats who she is.
Zhongli could've been in charge of the treasure hunting thing,maybe they are just chests he happens to remeber that are there and decided to make a game of it. Also blathers on about the history of each of the illuminated pictures.
Beidou could've been the one we went to about the Treasure Hoarder thing,maybe becuase she deals with them sometimes when they are on land,maybe becuase she just beat the information out if a few of them by accident. Instead we went to Kaeya and had to resurge the simping.
Ganyu could've been the one who goes out to Wangshu Inn and the village becuase she travels faster then the others and as a vision wielder she can protect the people she is suppose to be traveling with.
Like we have playable characters who could've fit this roles,I dont get why they were put in
