Day 8/366: January 8th 2024 | Finally Another Yakinunu 🍅

YAAAAAY a hangout with Jesslyn after almost one year. We went to Aberdeen and got Korean photobooth photos (yes I am collecting this with every single one of my friends lol) and then we got bubble tea from Pause n Sip (peach yakult so yum). We went to Hai Di Lao Vancouver location for their 31% off late night meal hehe. The meal was so good and affordable too. I was very well fed. I love the mochi filled fish cakes. As always, the tomato soup is the BEST here. I also loved the shrimp balls and meats.

Week 19.4/52: May 8th - May 14th 2023 | Sukiyaki Dinner  😋

Two days of me running on 5 hours of sleep... all this pain just for super boring convo training... >_> but at least I went out to eat with bf, Jesslyn, and Sunny after our shift. Went to Kumo Sukiyaki for AYCE silver level which included beef & pork belly & vegetables & appetizers. Pretty yum but definitely didn’t have enough time to eat everything because they chased us out after one hour LOOOOL so sad. I was like 95% full but not bloated like I usually am after ayce but maybe that’s for the best (healthier). We went to Minoru Chapel park to chat some more because Kumo had no chill LOOOL literally never ending talking with these kiddos =_= but the weather was so nice and Minoru was so pretty. Went home and packed for Calgary... I am bringing so much food this time HAHAHAHA. No going hungry during convo season!!! Not on my watch!!!

Week 2/52: January 9th - January 15th 2023 | Alley 16 (Yakinunu Part 3) 🧢

Finally a day off after working for 6 days in a row. Went to eat yakiniku (Japanese bbq) for our “yakinunu” hangouts with Jesslyn LOL. Ordered the personal set with beef, chicken, pork, squid, mushrooms, zucchini, and seaweed. Came with rice! Grilled everything and ate slowly HAHAHAH. The beef was so good 😭 !!!! God I love beef on bbq. Got coconut pudding for dessert at Milko. So yums :’D Tried the double coconut pudding and the purple yam coconut pudding. DUANG DUANG DUANG!! First time going out and taking photos with new phone/camera!!!!! Really happy with the back camera’s quality. Front camera is wayyyyy too clear on this one while my old phone’s front camera is way too shitty...... I need something in between in order to get nice selfies KJKLSFJS but for now - mirror selfies with back camera are superior.

Side note it’s super warm in YVR right now... 12 degrees today... literally running around FREELY during the winter with thin clothes. Amazing really... Froze to death during Christmas break for a reason I guess LMAO. It’s been warm this entire January so far. Worth!!!!

Week 7.5/52: February 13th - February 19th 2023 | Yakinunu & NEW TATTOO

First day off in so long and finally going out! Too bad the weather was shitty (ugh rain) but started off the day with Hai Di Lao with Jesslyn. $1.95 plates of beef and we ordered 8 plates and one serving of noodle and one plate of fried bean curd... ended up SO STUFFED. Def got too much meat... oops. Tried the new sukiyaki broth for the first time and it was quite good. On a mission to try all of HDL’s soup bases LMAO. 

After eating, I had my tattoo appointment. I claimed a flash while I was in Calgary and it’s of a white rabbit candy. I got it on my upper right arm (different arm than the one I got my rainbow on lol). Painless!!!!! And super cute!!! My artist was super detail oriented everything turned out nice. Super happy with it!!! Gonna slowly collect all the cute tattoos that I can find... hehehhe. I’m definitely Not Addicted but HAHHHAAHA cann’t get too many at once because we gotta be financially responsible LOL. 

Went to Gram for some fluffy souffle pancakes with Jess afterwards because we needed a place to go to spill more tea LOL (props to her for waiting for my tattoo for two hours hahhahahaha). Pancakes were yum! But not worth the $18... Glad I finally tried it after seeing it around YVR for like 4 years HAHAHAHA.
