It's yallfest timeeeee
I’m still going and going
oh also briefly and unrelated to stranger things despite my current brainworms - i'm going to be at YALLfest in Charleston next weekend as an author, it's the biggest YA book festival in the world, i'll be signing books & doing panels & running around if any tumblr moots or bookish pals might be there, please say hi!
the author lineup for yallfest is incredible I need to go 😭
I finally got to go to the Penguin imprint audiobook panel this year. Audience participation was involved, and several people came up to me afterwards and begged me to pursue a career in narration. I got to network a little bit and I'm really excited for the possibility of something new in the future
Is anyone going to be at yallfest this year?
i was just at yallfest this weekend trying to meet Leigh too- we waited in the cold and rain for 2 hours for the chance to meet her and get books signed and didn't get to due to the sheer amount of people there
after a weekend of seeing how many people love and support her books and characters, it feels like a slap in the face for netflix to pull this shit
not surprised but it hurts because this is one of the few adaptation shows that I am so passionate about :(
My first YALLFEST was one for the books!
This past weekend was so much fun, I'm already looking forward to next year. Being surrounded by so many writers was good for my soul. Meeting so many friends was such a highlight for me. Some I've been chatting with for years and finally got to meet in person. Others we met while waiting in line. I also got so many of my books signed by some wonderful authors. It was impossible to keep up with all the interesting panels, ARC giveaways, and author meet ups. And even though it rained on Saturday, it was heartwarming to witness readers persevere, fiercely determined not to let it affect the fun.
(Even though I got splashed by a car running through a puddle, I'm choosing to call it a main character moment.)
I'm so eager to see what next year has in store!!
