Pride Reads 2026, Day 3: Senpai is an Otokonoko

An emotional series about three classmates and their complicated relationship. At the heart of the story is Makoto, a high school boy who dresses like a girl at school. Makoto has always loved cute things and clothes, but his mother hates it, so he can only be his true self at school. Ryuji is Makoto's childhood friend and they reconnect in high school. Saki is their kouhai, and she develops an insta crush on Makoto. While the series starts out fairly light and cute, it does get heavier as they wrestle with attraction, jealousy, and hurt feelings. I'm rooting for the characters and hoping for a happy ending!

There is an anime adaptation but I haven't watched it yet!

this messed up vintage cat sewing pattern has tormented me since i saw it & like some other folks have done in that post - i tried my hand at tweaking the pattern to resemble the illustration (and my personal tastes) a little more. i've ended up with this, which i have only tested at a small scale and not this final version exactly (where i have done such things as further widening the cheeks and finalizing the leg shapes.) i bestow it upon you nice folks now 👐

My first attempt! I made the pattern a bit smaller as I wanted it to be able to fit in a pocket, but then (accidentally but perhaps unavoidably) sewed it with a wider seam allowance than the resized pattern indicated, so the face is proportionally a bit too big and I lost some detail in the ear shape. I'm pleased with it though! It was fun to make something and to do some handsewing.

Could I suggest a picture of Dawntreader Texas Calboy? He is a beautiful male calico cat who is a chimera. He's also somewhat controversial among some cat fancy associations since he is a male cat with female colors, and some people are strangely transphobic towards him, despite him being a cat? There was even a rule implemented to keep him from competing in a cat show. If you look up his name, he made a few news articles.
