Y: Since I’d planned to leave early, I thought I would arrive first.

M: It’s cuz my previous job ended early. And I was really looking forward to doing the “ShuffleTalk” with Yamato!

Y: Thanks. It’s still morning but you seem really into it...

M: Yamato too come on, get into it! You have such a sleepy face, also you get dark circles under your eyes!

Y: Eh, seriously? Maybe cuz I watched an overseas drama and stayed up late...

M: Ah, I get it! They made it cliffhanger so you couldn't stop watching!

M: An overseas drama is good, but you'll definitely enjoy this job too!

M: Anyways, I was really looking forward to today’s planning! Continuing from last year, our 12 people “Shuffle Talk”!

Y: Last year's talk project for the magazine, I heard it had really good reviews.

Y: The groups were shuffled and we were paired up; that project was new to us too.

Y: Well, except I was partnered with Riku.

M: I was with Tamaki! It was super exciting to go to the arcade!

Y: This year we’re paired up huh. I mean, it's such a huge-scale that our destination is overseas resort.

Y: I heard it's the magazine's project for their 30th anniversary.

M: A European island country right! I haven’t been before but I’ve heard the ocean is really pretty!

Y: Europe huh, that’s faaar… No no, let’s try our best.

M: The process will be that we'll receive photos when we arrive at the spot, and we'll find the place on the photos huh.

M: And when we arrive at the destination, we'll take pictures of us there and present them to the applicants of the lottery!

Y: It’s my first time going there but I wonder if we’ll be able to find our destination. I mean it seems a little hard...

M: It’s fiiiiine! I think they’ll give us an easy place to navigate! We'll be with staff and translators so it's safe!

M: And, in case of an emergency, Momo-chan’s HAPPY HURRICANE POWER will call the destination to us!

Y: Somehow, it really seems we’ll be able to.

M: An overseas resort huuuh… Getting hyped up!

Y: Momo-san, aren’t you already using to stuff like shooting overseas?

M: Tsktsktsk.

M: It’s not my first overseas job, but this time’s island is my first one! A new place is always something to look forward to right!

M: I heard before that it’s a pretty island so I was interested but, there is no direct flight from Japan.

M: I can’t really take breaks and there are no opportunity to go by myself.

M: So, I’m really looking forward to it this time!

Y: From seeing an excited Momo-san, I’m starting to feel like this overseas trip really won’t be that bad.

M: I tried to look it up and found that there’s a famous diving spot! I hope we have time to dive in between shooting. I'm so hyped uuuup!

Y: I mean it's sad to go all the way overseas and just shoot and go home.

Y: But I want to relax on the beach while drinking sake.

M: Eeeh, how about diving?!

Y: I’ll leave Momo-san and the others to that.

M: I'll put sunscreen on you!

Y: No no no, it was meant to refuse. I mean, how boring it will be with just two guys.

M: You are so unfriendly~!

Y: We'll have "Question Anything!" this time too, so we have to think about the contents huh.

M: A question corner for each other huh!

M: Okaay. I’ll think about a super hard one so look forward to it!

M: Let's get fired up!

Y: Hahahah… I’ll prepare for it.

My first big plan is a huge success! I made lemon cake (which turned out almost like pound cake) and made a very thick cream cheese frosting that thinned out a bit with the puréed yamamomo and made it spill slowly and deliciously over the sides. The color is so pretty and pink and girly. And for garnish I topped the cake with one frozen yamamomo berry. Being frozen makes it very refreshing and cuts the tanginess of the berry a bit. I tested the ensemble out on my fellow teachers today with 100% approval rating and awe in the fact that I've taken a Japanese mountain staple and made something so modern from it! 10/10 will make again maybe with a few tweaks. #japan #gifu #yamamomo #lemoncake #yellow #cake #pink #icing #岐阜市 ＃岐阜 ＃山桃 ＃ヤマモモ ＃レモンケーキ ＃黄色 ＃ケーキ ＃ピンク #アイシング
