I was having a conversation with @fira211 about performing and how when you screw up you plaster a smile on your face and just keep going with FLAIR, and was reminded of this video.
This is a performance from 2009 by salsa company Yamuleé, and basically, one of the girls had her bra strap accidentally unfastened within the first minute. She then proceeds, not to run offstage and curl up in a ball and hide like I probably would have done, but instead to dance through the whole damn routine, tricks and all, with one hand holding her bra in place. It involves multiple creative hand switches and some pretty damn good on-the-fly adjustments by her partners too.
It is to this day the most amazing display of professionalism, skill, and sheer goddamn determination I have ever seen, and I hope to one day have half that much poise in the face of potential mortifying fiascos.
