Tawûsî Melek - تاوسی مەلەک
Also known as Melek Taûs, a central being in Yazidism, a religion born out of pre-Islamic Iran. In this belief God creates seven angels from itself which now govern the world, with Tawûsî Melek being the leader and most important of these angels. Tawûsî Melek is the ruler of the world and himself has emanations, considered a divine triad, those being Sheik Adi ibn Musafir and Sultan Ezid. From the seven colors of the rainbow was born the divine peacock, the most beautiful bird in the world, which blessed everything it flew over until landing in Lalish, now its holy place. As a result peacocks have become sacred to Yazidis and they do not harm or eat them, its imagery adorns their shrines and holy places, and the New Year is represented as the time that the peacock descends and reinvigorates the world. A similar or identical figure exists in Yarsanism, a related religion, named Malak Tawus. Some Muslims and others of Abrahamic religions have considered this angel to be identical to Satan, an evil spirit, though Yazidis do not agree with this sentiment.
