The year was 1945, WWII had plagued Europe for years, eventually gaining intervention from the United States on the side of the Allied Soldiers. A young man sought to stop the war from the inside, but was soon caught. He flew across the skies before his modified plane was shot down, and plunged to the ocean below.

Diana stood at the shoreline, breathing in the cool air coming off the ocean when there was a flicker in the sky. She looked up, seeing a strange-- metal bird? A large one, at that, soar through...no-- fall through the sky. Curiosity sent her after it, but she was surprised to find a person riding within the metal bird, seemingly stuck.

She pulled them from it, swimming them to shore and laying them on the sand. A man!? He had to be. Diana had only seen men in paintings before.

“Are you alright?” she asked, pushing his hair from his face as she checked for breathing.
