@thepeaklegendoffirstgen was onto smth. I just wanna help :P
"Mom!"
Little Yeowool run towards you. Worry already written on your face when you heard a small commotion happening in the car lot.
"Sweetie, where's your dad?"
"Dad caught thieves!" Your eyes widened at the news, causing your worries to increase. "What?! Are you alright??" You kneeled down on your daughter's level, holding her gently to check for any injuries. However not even a scratch was on sight. Not waiting for another second, you took her hand in yours and race to find your husband.
You expected to face with some sort of armed robbery about to cause a bigger scene. Not that you never trust Yugang to handle it single hand, it's just hard not to think of the worse case scenario sometimes. But instead of facing your vision, you see two teenagers in school uniforms standing while Yugang told them off.
You jogged closer for answers, "Where's the thieves??"
All three of them turned at the new voice. Yugang's face softened seeing you as Yeowool immediately cling to her father's leg as she pointed at the two boys for you.
"They are, mom!"
You blinked, "These two?" Looking at the sheepish highschoolers. Yugang affirmed, "Yep. These lil shits thought they were being slick."
Relief took over you as your worries turned to sympathy. But your husband caught you immediately. As much as he loves you, you are too nice for your own good sometimes. "Ah, ah. I know that look. Don't feel bad for these two. They're just sad strays."
"Yugang!" You scolded. He jolted slightly at your tone, "What?? I was going to teach them a lesson. You know? Kill them with kindness." He gestured his both fists at a time.
The two boys winced at the thought and Yeowool looked up at both her parents with interest, "Cool."
"Yeah! Cool." Yugang shrugged. You rest your hands on your hips with a hardened face.
"Yugang Ha!" "Kidding!" He grinned, trying to convince you he isn't going to commit murder now or ever. "Besides, we could always use an extra hand around here, don't you agree? Yeowool's been pretty lonely too," He ruffles her hair softly, "So I figured..."
You narrowed your eyes with a cocked brow, "You figured...what?"
Whilst the adults are occupied, Jaegyeon and Yujae took the opportunity to slowly creep backwards to escape. The red haired pointed the other side as the blue one nodded. Agreeing to run separate ways so the owner car dealership won't be able to catch them.
Jaegyeon mouthed while counting the countdown using his fingers, "One...two...thr- EUGH!!"
"Not so fast."
Unfortunately the attempt were left with no succeed when the brunet caught them swiftly by the back of their collar, causing the boys to curse and struggle in protest.
"You two are coming with me." Yugang kept his hands firmed on their shoulders as they turned to walk inside the garage. Yeowool followed behind with a happy skip, leaving you to think of the future possibilities of having these newcomers around from day on.
~
"Jaegyeon, Yujae. That's enough, you two. Let's go eat together." You smiled warmly. The first kid beamed, dropping the wrench as he leave the car they were fixing. The other hesitated. Wiping his dirty hands with a cloth and followed slowly.
"Oppa! I wanna sit next to you!" You heard Yeowool said, tugging on her new big brother's arm. He too play along with the excitement, "No way! You're a messy eater!" "No I'm not!" "Yes, you are! You're a small piggy!" "You're a pig!"
Your face softened at the interaction before turning to the slow poke. "Yujae? You're not coming."
"I am, ma'am." He subtly pocketed his phone before you could notice. You did, but said nothing of it. You don't wanna scare the boy away so you just keep smiling. "Let's go. Our treat as always. And you don't have to call me ma'am. Just call me-"
"It's okay. Really." He walked passed you. You stood there blank for a second before coming along with others and decided not to question it.

You told yourself you're being paranoid. You always had it in you and it tends to ruin the mood. Or perhaps this mother instinct telling you something bad is going to happen. You just don't know what.
The extra weight of the bed caught your attention but not fully, still getting lost in thought that your mind is playing tricks on you.
"What's wrong?" Yugang scooped himself closer to you, gently bringing you against his firm body now that he's left in his black tank top. He carefully swiped your bangs of your face and massage your sides. "Talk to me, beautiful."
You shook your head, "Nothing, I'm just overthinking stuff again." "About what? Me? Yeowool's in school? Or...the boys?" He tested the water.
"I don't know. Maybe? I don't know! I don't know..." "Hey, it's okay. Stop thinking for a sec." He pulled you by the hip so you're sitting on his lap to get a better look at each other. His favorite part, making eye contact with his wife.
His calloused hand gently caress your cheek. "I'm here, (Name). You got nothing to worry about when I'm still here. With you. I made a promise didn't I?" You sighed, leaning into his touch and leaves a kiss on his palm. "I know."
His other hand rubbing behind your spine with comfort, gently pushing you closer, "I can't make you stop worrying, I know that. But I can make you trust me. You trust me?"
"Always." "That's all I wanted to hear." He leaned in, planting a long smooch onto your forehead to ease the worry wrinkles. You smiled softly, which exactly what he was after. He mimicked your smile and collide your foreheads together as he hold you dearly.
Meanwhile on the rooftop,
Yeowool continue her blunt storytelling while eating chocolate bar, "And then, mom would scream so loud when dad growl like a monster. He growl so loud, there's banging on the walls."
Jaegyeon spat on his soda. Yujae already stuffed gumdrops into his ears.
