Anya is digging through the bin of colorful marine animals again. This is the fifth store they’ve been into today, and in each one, she’s made a beeline for the stuffed animals. Yor watches her from the corner of her eye, pretending to be looking at some overpriced earrings made of dyed seashells. Next to her, Loid is squinting at the ingredients of some equally overpriced candies. “She’s looking for something,” he says under his breath. Yor blinks and looks from Anya to Loid. “Any idea what?” He frowns. He’s been trying to figure the details out for the last two stores, but Anya’s search has been too random for him to get a good grasp on it. If she was shopping for herself, she already would’ve found several things. Besides, she already has a large stuffed dolphin she bought on the very first day sitting in their rented beach house.
