This will always be my favorite Viktor/Yuuri shot. It's so genuine and so pure, such a gentle display of love and support. Viktor is taking it so easy on Yuuri as far as physical contact, and Yuuri clearly appreciates it. They are so *comfortable* around each other, it's so beautiful. :)

Also @ Viktor’s face he’s loudly woken up in the middle of the night to Yuuri screaming and jumping on top of him, and his face is like “Okay okay lemme see what dis boi’s GOT okay mr. Eros back here alright alright what’s he up to okie dokie pokie let’s get to getting let’s see what we GOT”

…..it’s 5:21am EST, what am I doing with my life.

EP 4: I 👏🏾LOVE 👏🏾THIS! It's such a seemingly small and insignificant scene, but playing along with the rest of the series in this rewatch, it's standing out to me much more now than it did originally. Yuuri just finished opening up to Viktor, and as I mentioned, he is slowly passing that blubbering phase of nerves. He has gone so far as to tell a personal story to Viktor, mind you again, his PERSONAL LIFE LONG IDOL, this larger than life megastar, and he says he wants to show you his love. Yuuri is beginning to feel so close to him, and is able to separate well enough the image of Viktor Nikiforov the star from Viktor the friend, that he is able to cave into the gravitation of physically touching him, almost to prove to himself that this is all really happening, and he is actually allowed to be this happy. Keep in mind power dynamics again. Even Viktor, a few seconds ago in this scene, says he is older than Yuuri, by 7 years. He's also leagues more talented, experienced, famous, everything: <b> for all intents and purposes, for the ENTIRE SHOW UP UNTIL THIS POINT, Viktor has had the power in his hands. </b> This small gesture, again looking at physical positionally alone, puts a bit of power into Yuuri's hands. Viktor is now the one kneeling on the floor, and Yuuri touches him on a thin spot on his head. Look how far they've come, especially Yuuri :") Viktor plays along with it, melting into the floor (his dramatic ass) but I'm sure he's overjoyed: Yuuri is finally, finally, trying to open up. Such character progression done so elegantly and realistically. Love it!!!!

EP 4: I never realized how supportive this scene is, and how paramount it is to the relationship Yuuri and Viktor have.

Where is the bumbling, babbling, blushing mess Yuuri was a few episodes ago? Here, we have two friends developing into something more, slowly but surely.

Instead of trembling in the shadows, Yuuri is finally speaking to Viktor, after Viktor’s constant, and I mean CONSTANT, attempts at connecting. He was never too pushy, he never pressured Yuuri, he was just always there: offering company, offering opportunities to spend time together, while not hounding, but by just being present.

Viktor’s approach to getting close to Yuuri is the exemplary standard for how people should act in a relationship where one or more people are struggling with mental illness. Yuuri is struggling with deep set anxiety and lack of confidence, and Viktor is gently, gently there for him. As Yuuri said himself, when he opens up, he meets him where he is.

Such an incredible show god 😍😍😍🤗🤗🤗
