Perks of living in a neighbourhood and not in an apartment is that you can see the Christmas lights your neighbour put on their house and garden for free. From your living room, through the windows. Sounds like stalking, but nah you and your sweet man is just watching over some free light show.
As much as you love Christmas, your family never put on Christmas lights before. You grew up with the culture of just putting on the tree, decorate it, give presents on Christmas mornings and then have some warm movie time. There’s no lights outside the house. Your boyfriend happens to do the house decorating things several times just when the big family is coming over to their house.
It is your second Christmas with Jaehyun already, you and him finally finished paying this dream house. Last Christmas you had fun watching snow while seeing the lights from the house next door. This Christmas you and Jaehyun did the same thing. Made a glass of warm eggnog, pulled the sofa to face one of the houses, and then just cuddle up while talking about random Christmas stories and funny moments that happened on new year’s eves.
Tonight might be the last time you both can see the lights for free. You guess that the neighbours will start to take them down tomorrow and it will be another year of plain garden.
“They’re taking them down tomorrow, I guess.” You stare into the bright lights while leaning on one of Jaehyun’s body.
He raises his brow, “You heard them or you’re just guessing?”
You click your tongue, “Last year they took it down around these days.”
Jaehyun chuckles and sips on his glass, “Whoop didn’t know you remembered that much.”
You sigh “Why doesn’t our place look as good as that?” you run your eyes through the ceiling and the room. It’s not as big as the other houses, but you and Jae worked so hard for this house. Your sister is an interior designer and she helped you with the interior designs. Most of your house is just simply styled with black, white, some grey, and golds.
Jaehyun looks at you with surprise, “Really? You didn’t know why we do not put on lights like them?”
You shake your head, looking so innocent in his eyes.
Yoonoh takes a deep breath, puts down his mug, and folds his hands over his chest.
“Do you know how high our electricity bill would be? Christmas lights are expensive!!” Yoonoh ends his statement with a loud huff. He tenses when he sees your shocked face. Oh no did he blurt out the wrong answer?
You suddenly shake your head and laugh “No way… I didn’t think of that!! Yeah that makes sense!”
Yoonoh feels like the bomb in his head is turned off and he just laugh along with you.
“Sorry, I’ll promise you one day we can put on our Christmas lights too like them.” The sweet man pulls you into his embrace and lays down on the sofa.
You cling into him, hugging his waist as you balance yourself over his chest.
“Yes Yoonoh, one day okay! We will work harder so we can put on our Christmas lights!”
He smiles and pushes your neck so he can kiss you, “We’re gonna make it someday. Just trust me, stay by my side, and together we can go through all the storms we have to face.”
You peck him back and nuzzle your nose into his collar bones, “Years changed but you are still the same sweet Yoonoh I know, never change!”
He stares into your eyes. “And do you want me to change?”
You press your forehead into his, “Only good changes, okay?” you wink, and he smirks. “I know exactly what you mean.” He runs his hands slowly to your waist and grips you there.
“Oh bring back my innocent Yoonoh then,” you roll your eyes when you can feel his hands roaming around your body.
“No way, Daddy Jaehyun took over.” His voice no longer sweet, instead it was husky and deep.
“It’s still morning Jae!” you hold his hand before he can intrude into any of your pants.
He bites his lips, “And what is wrong with morning? You’re starting to talk back to me?” his finger slips into you and you gasp.
“Better this way, just follow my lead baby girl. Show daddy who’s a good girl.” He whispers into your ears and you hold back a moan.
“Yes daddy,” you give in and the next thing you see was only Jaehyun’s smug grins as he flips you over to top on you.
