Twist let out a long suffering sigh, slumping slightly over the counter. Silently counting down the seconds to when his shift would be over. He so wanted out of this stupid green apron.

For the past few weeks, Twist has been working at the local SlugBuck's in Blade City Cavern.

look, he needed the extra gold and these service job's don't do thorough background check alright?

It was this, going back to mercenary work, or a more labor intensive job- and given his, previous employment record it would not end well for him.

So here he was, working as a barista, forcing a tight smile on his face whenever a customer walked in, making overpriced drinks.

'Just a few more days' he would tell himself. A few more days and Twist could bail, and find work somewhere else.

Preferably Slinging Slug's and not Slinging beverages to snooty customers he can't purposefully give Decaf to as a 'punishment'.

So yeah, Twist could live a few more days like this. Especially since the likelihood of someone he knew seeing like this was low.

Twist was pulled out of his thoughts by the door chiming.

Oh joy, a customer-

"Oh you can't be serious- Twist!?"

C.C. the bastard, smirked, his arms crossed as he swaggered his way to the counter. All to gleeful at the current situation.

C.C. just looked at him, that stupid smirk still on that bastereds face. Twist's hands griped the edge of the counter, a growl at the back of his throat.

"ehem" C.C. cleared his throat, and lifted one of hands, doing that finger motion that prompted someone to continue talking.

"Hello..." Twist started, through gritted teeth, "... Welcome to SlugBuck's"

"Hmm~?"

"... How. Can. I. Help. You-" The blond managed. C.C. burst into a fit of laughter.

OH-HO words can't describe how BADLY Twist wanted to deck the ever living shit out of C.C. and wipe that stupid look of his face, and shove a coffee cup down the man's throat to make his stupid laughter stop.

"Aw MAN! I wish I was recording this! Oh Fuck- The others would loose it! Twist- the brat who acted like a hot shot cuz Blakk gave him some special treatment, serving tea and coffee like a- a-"

"Finish that sentence and I will throw the coffee pot at you"

C.C. snorted at the threat.

"Yeah right, you can't do crap to me right now. So why don't you be a good little barista and make me a, No Foam Soy Tiramisu Frappuccino lightly salted with extra whip."

"... Anything else?" Twist seethed.

"oo yeah- I'll take two of those Hop-Rock cake-pop's" C.C. said.

"That'll be 12G"

C.C. passed the gold, all to pleased with himself. Just as he was about to comment about how much of a tip he should leave the shop's door chimed again-

"Eli Shane" Both C.C. and Twist said at the same time with varying levels of distain.

"H-hey, w-what are- what are you guy's doing... here? at this... nondescript Slugbucks..."

"I work here" Twist said flatly, completely done at this point.

"stopped in for a drink, guess you are as well huh Shane?"

"I mean... yeah but the vibe of this-" Eli gestured vaguely to his two rouges, "is uh real turn off so ima just-"

"NO! Nononono- You are going to order something Kid!" C.C. said with a grin.

WTF no- C.C. what are doing?!

"Eli- Kid- I know we've had our differences- but you gotta understand- I did what I did for a 9 to 5" C.C. said, gesturing to himself, then pointed to Twist, who gave him a murderous look, "But this Kid went out of his way to fuck your shit up. you treated him like a friend, and he backstabs you and almost get's you team killed- Getting this brat to fix you an order is going to be the least he can do to make up for it"

"think of it as the sweet, sweet gift of revenge" C.C. said, clearly too hyped up about this.

"You know what-" Eli perked up, finally seeing the sliver lining to this absurd situation, and walked up to the counter, leaning against it.

"I will take a Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino, Extra Mocha Drizzle, in the cup and on top, Extra Cookie Crumble Toppings 3 pumps of White Mocha Sauce, 3 pumps of Dark Caramel Sauce, Double-blended Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam, Extra mocha drizzle on top of the cold foam" The Shane said.

C.C. let out a low whistle, and Twist's eye twitched.

"What? it's my birthday in a couple day's- I'm treating myself" The Shane said.

When this was over, Twist was going to cause so many problems for both of these pricks OR SO HELP HIM-
