I see a lot of posts about how lazy or meaningless having a Clippy pfp or boycotting youtube is, so I would like to mention a few things: DO MORE THAN CHANGE YOUR PFP!!! Sure that’s a start, but don’t stop there! Give youtube bad reviews about the ai stuff, tell people who can make a bigger impact than you (your favorite creators, adults if you’re a minor, etc.), and email or physically mail things to youtube and google.

On another note, I’ve also seen people complain that nobody cared about the evil things google has been doing (specifically involving Gaza and things like that) but suddenly care when something like the ai stuff happens. What I have to say about that is: yeah, it is pretty shitty that it took something that directly affects someone for them to care, but that’s unfortunately how a lot of people are (NOT SAYING THAT ITS OK, JUST SAYING ITS COMMON). Also some people, like me, may not have been aware of how bad google’s actions have been. I’m still not saying that it makes it ok, we can all do better in educating ourselves, but it is simply another possibility. TLDR: be the ACT in ACTivist and try care about things even if they don't affect you. Do the best you can and understand that others bests look different <3
