Gonna buy more foil for my tinhat because the cover art for volume 74 doesn't match the ending at all. Kubo drawing Rukia and Ichigo standing back to back like the dream team they are ? Them mirroring each other's pose ? Adult Ichigo in his Shinigami outfit looking smug as hell ?

It just doesn't match with the couch dad of 686. It just doesn't. Rukia has similar hair and outfit on both the cover and last chapter tho.

All that stuff really makes me think Kubo asspulled this ending and had another plan at the start. One that involves Ichigo staying in Soul Society at Rukia's side.
