How Does This Even Happen?! - Part 3
Hey guys, reposting this because it wasn't showing up under its tags for whatever reason. Took out some explicit language that was probably the reason for the issues.
Anyways, have fun!

Just a Few Questions-RP
@thedhampireinshades
Waiting for a house to be built was anything but irritating, Dan was if nothing else very thorough, which Ford liked. They had poured over blueprints and designs for weeks before agreeing on a direct version.
Living out of nothing more than a tent once school was officially over wasn’t bad, and truthfully he had plenty of extra to just rent somewhere in town, but wanting to start on his research as soon as possibly he opted to live just shy of the woodline his home would be sitting in soon enough.
Dan had mentioned a relative that might hang around some, but so far he hadn’t met too many individuals from town as of yet, but that certainly didn’t mean that he wouldn’t recognize someone new. And if that happened he would try to leave a good impression.
Fortunately in today’s particular hike he came across a paid…platypus? Or a platypus was the closest relative that he knew of, or could think of for that matter. The thing was particularly calm and before he knew it after sitting and sketching/studying the creature it had followed him.
So he dared to pick up the thing and carry it back with him. He didn’t know why he carried it but…perhaps he could study it’s eating/sleeping habits. And that was exactly how he almost ran into a girl, more like barely bumping into her, once he had made it to the clearing, sputtering an apology on instinct. “I’m sorry! Are you alright?” before softly shushing the creature which had let out a semi-disgruntled noise at being jostled around.
".... I-I think i heard a snap..." [celia - fracturedrealities]
He just plain hadn’t been paying any attention. Usually their walks/explorations of the woods went swimmingly, nothing ever happened…except for that one time where they had to be fussed at by gnomes…they might see something interesting.
But neither of them had been seriously hurt before.
A storm had passed through a few days earlier and it always meant that some dead limbs would be loosened, and often they would have to move when a sudden crack would fill the air. He just didn’t pay enough attention to the sounds, too interested in an oddly shaped burrow along the trunk of one large pine to see the oak towering above it lose a limb.
It hit him right in his outstretched arm, and he certainly felt it. Rather like a burst of fire and the feel of bone touching muscle in a not-so-pleasant way-he just knew that something was broken. And at hearing the worry-and slightly scared tone that Celia had used he jerked the arm close to his chest and tried to keep her calm.
“….it’s alright Celia…everything’s fine…” He started, “We might need to cut our trip short alright?”
The Chance of a Lifetime- Closed with theallseeingxye
@theallseeingxye After months of being just so close to proving that odd little theory of his plausible, Stanford Pines was at the end of his rope. He was beyond frustrated and with days falling away with nothing to show for it...he had almost decided to just forget it for a while, take a break. Maybe...that would help once he went back to it. He took a walk, just a simple walk. Hell, he even took a bag with a sketchbook and a few pencils just in case he happened across something new in the now familiar woods. Fortunately, for now anyway, he stumbled across something far greater than just gnomes out for blood or some new paranormal something-or-another. He knew that there was a cavern system, had even slipped into a few entrances along the surface, but on this fateful day stumbled across a tiny little crack of an entrance half-buried beneath a long since dead tree. One look was all it took before the scientist scrambled back to his home, to grab a camera and other necessities, returning quite late the next morning, soaked in mud and intensely excited. After all it wasn't everyday you discovered a hieroglyphic language that didn't match up to any other. And it certainly wasn't everyday that you got a chance to truly study some ancient entirely unknown deity either...as much as the man detested religion it was....interesting to say the least.
Finished my first day at Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC! So excited for my Dipper and Young Stanford cosplays. Pictures will be posted by the end of the weekend.
Mishaps in Time Travel- Closed w/ born-adventurer
Stanford Pines liked to think that he was getting used to being around weird things. He was slowly becoming used to the people and the things that surrounded Gravity Falls.
He was getting used to a routine of going inside to the main portion of town once every other week for groceries or to place some catalog order, small necessary things like that. He thought he was getting used to the people, recognizing faces, that sort of thing.
So, he didn’t even think about it when he walked past someone small-a kid-on his way back to the shack. He didn’t recognize the hat-but, kids liked to change things up nowadays didn’t they?
He didn’t think about it at all, he didn’t really know any of the families enough to have met all the children in the town. Still, better to be polite even to a kid, so he gave the boy a light smile and a simple, “Good afternoon.”
