This is me when i see...you(?) The greatest lesson in senior clerkship is having feeling of ownership for patient. I used to feel something i couldn't describe how relieved it is to see my patient getting better day by day. Once, i got a patient which was geriatric and not very fit for the surgery. We demanded ICU for post-op management but she couldn't get one because it was full. Me, as the young doctor were obliged to explain the condition and propose for the surgery to be postponed till the ICU is available. It turned out to be the third times this patient surgery cancelled because of her low albumin and hypocalemia. Her daughter cried in front of me and the other family members, begging me anything to do to get the surgery done that very day. But i could do nothing, i'm not the one to make the call. I explained it over again on how risky it would be without the ICU and finally after times they had asked for family discussion, they understood and agreed to cancel the surgery. It surely was the hardest consent i ever made till today. Yesterday, i got a job in ICU and i came accross her, the patient that was cancelled the other day. She finally made to surgery the next day after we called off. It's been 4 days after her surgery and the very morning i followed-up her condition, she talked and asked me to get rid of the ventilator. "She did very well," said the nurse. And yes i could see it and it's soo... relieving. She was extubated that day and returned to the ward after her hemodynamic was stable for hours. Her daughter tried to peek through a glass window and i saw gratefulness, relief and happiness collaborated in one face. That feeling that strucked your heart that moment you saw your patient on that state is something you should be experiencing yourself. It's priceless, unchangable, unimaginable. And i think that's how i smiled in silent when i see them. Seeing them getting better. I couldn't get it out at the hospital that i should maintain my 'cool' everyday yeaah 😂 wkwk This is me when i see you. Unimaginable, unchangeble, priceless feeling. #youngdoctor #koasanestesi (at Pantai Air Manis)
Chcę pokazać blaski i cienie najpiękniejszego zawodu jaki przyszło mi wykonywać i mam nadzieję godnie reprezentować.
How to be a young, attractive physician in the realities of bivalent feelings
How to work in a world that both loves and hates? At what point you should stop, try to cast a critical eye on the world, which you are part of and which acts destructively on relations with loved ones? Is it possible at all, or do you have to lose something to understand? The blog I'm working on is where I want to answer these questions, and I want to vent my emotions, but to talk about my work from my own point of view. I recommend it primarily to medical students and young doctors who have to choose a specific career path to help them make the right decision and to teenagers who are wondering what to do in adult life, what profession choose. I want to show the splendors and shadows of the most beautiful profession that I have come to perform and hope to represent with dignity. Finally came the day I dared sit down in front of the monitor and talked about what was happening behind the door of the doctor's room, which in some cases caused anger, fear, and curiosity. Why finally? For many months I wanted to shed my thoughts on paper, basically a computer keyboard after numerous private requests from people who had never dared to say so on a blackboard of social media and in private messages wanted to know more. It's for you, and for me, I'll try to tell you the best I can as a young doctor...

Is not the help of Allah close by? Certainly it is. Allah says, "Call upon Me and I will respond." (Qur'an 40: 60)

I’m in the middle of being very confuse about the medical profession, the more I learn in the clinical phase, the more I realize how much I love it, how much I love seeing trust in the patients’ face after I explained something, how much I love listening to them talking to their family that their disease can be cured. But on the other hand, I hate the state of being busy all the time without any time for myself and for my love ones, it’s been only one week and I already feel distant from my regular friends and my family. And I’m not the kind of person who would love to have many colleagues with zero friends. I guess we should always pay the price for everything we dream, right?
